Question about HP Photosmart C6380 All-In-One InkJet Printer

My HP C6380 is printing blank pages. Cartridges are full. Test page only prints the Microsoft logo and no text. Copy feature works although the images appear light. Please help ASAP. John

1. Disconnect the power cord and USB from the printer and press and hold the power button down for 30 secs without anything connected to the printer. 2. Now connect the power cord only and turn it ON, make sure that the printer has sufficient ink in the cartridges, you may clean them and inside the printer with a lint free cloth. The printer will take some time to initialise. 3. Now we will reset the printer so follow the steps below. A. - Press and Hold the ?Print Photos? & ?Red Eye Removal? buttons. Release both buttons. Display should say ?Enter Special Key Combo? B. - Press and release in sequence ?Red Eye Removal?, ?Print Photos?, ?Red Eye Removal? 1. Press and release the right arrow button until the display says ?System Configuration Menu?. 2. Press and release the ?OK? button. 3. Display should say ?Support?. Use the Right arrow Key to look for "Reset Menu". 4. Press and release the ?OK? button. 5. Press the right arrow key to look for "Semi-Full Reset", press 'OK' 6. The printer will go off and will power on by itself, else wait for 20 seconds and power on the printer. Also check if Operating system is Windows XP, then Service Pack should be 2 or 3. the body of text of the test page is black ink. From what you describe, the print heads are clogged. Most HPs use cartridges that have the head built in, but if not used for an externded period they can dry up and clog.
Try repeated head cleanings (10 or more) see if any change. If none, try new HP ink cartridges

My hpf44880 printer prints out blank sheets of paper what do I need to do to get it to print with ink on the paper?


please follow these steps:
1.please print a test page from printer(hold down power and cancel(red X)buttons for 3 seconds together and release both of them..it will print a test page
2.if it is blank :please take out the cartridges.
clean the metallic contacts with lint free cloth
clean the ink cartridge slots with a cutip
disconnect usb cable
unplug the power cable from the back keeping cartridges out
hold down power key for 30 seconds
reconnect power cable
reinstall the cartridges
3.print a test page again from printer if printer is quiet
4.if the test page is still blank..u need another set of cartridges
5.if test page isn't blank and u print blank pages from computer,do the following:
6.if printer s/w is already installed..please go to devices and printers(printers and faxes in win xp)
7.please click on add a printer
8.select driver manufacturer as HP,and driver as deskjet 990c(this is the generic driver for all HP printers)
9.follow the onscreen instructions,and finish installation
10.try printing with this driver

Reading no paper paper tray is full


Instructions
  1. Check the display for an error message. If the display reads "Clearing paper from printer," the engine has detected a jam and is attempting to eject the jammed pages automatically. These pages will often be blank.
  2. Check the display for "Performing PRINT/STOP TEST" or "Performing SERVICE TEST." Either of these messages indicates that the printer is going through a test procedure that may eject blank pages.
  3. Reduce the amount of paper in the input tray if the printer is feeding multiple blank sheets at a time. The printer will pull extra pages through if the input tray is overfilled.
  4. Replace the paper in the input tray with the correct size if needed. If the 4600 printer detects the paper as an incorrect size for the print job, it may eject the paper without printing anything on it.
  5. Replace the ink cartridges if certain colors are blank on the page. Replace the black cartridge if printing a black text document that is coming out blank. The printer may attempt to print even if the ink level is low or empty, but will unable to print anything on the page, causing it to come out blank.
  6. Remove the sealing tape from newly installed cartridges. The tape covers the print heads and should be removed before installing the cartridges. If the tape is left on, it will prevent ink from getting on the pages as they print.
  7. Press the "Check mark" button on the control panel to enter the printer menu. Run a diagnostic so the printer can attempt to determine the cause of the blank pages printing. Press the up or down arrow to select "Diagnostics." Press the "Check mark" button. Press the "Down" arrow to highlight "PQ Troubleshooting." Press the "Check mark" button. The printer runs a diagnostic and returns to a ready state when done.

Photo black ink runs out b4 black on HP Photosmart C6380 printer


The black ink cartridge is larger than the photo black cartridge and black is used in photos to make the darker colors. Black text takes much less ink per page.

Are you able to print Self test page from printer ( standalone ) or able to make a copy ? if you are able to make copy/print self test page from printer, this issue is with Printer Drivers, You can uninstall and reinstall the software ( download the latest software and drivers from HP website )

If you are not able to make copy/print self test page from printer, it is issue with printer/cartridges... you need to re-align the printer

to clean/align cartridge
On Printer Front panel
Press - Setup Button ( press ok)
Press - Tools ( Press Ok )
Press - Clean Cartridges ( Press OK )
And/Or
Press - Align Cartridges ( Press OK )

Everything prints blank, but the ink is fairly new and there are no errors showing up on the screen of my HP 5610 all-in-one printer/ copier/ fax


Hi !

As you are using HP officejet 5610 printer, so perform the following steps on the printer to print a self test report to check the functionality of the printer.

Press Setup on the All-in-One then Press 2 then press 6.

If you are unable to perform the above steps, then try to make a copy using the scanner glass ( By placing a text document face down on the scanner glass and then press color copy button.).

If the printer make a copy or prints the self test page, then it confirms that the printer is working fine.

The issue could be with the software side. However, if the printer again prints the blank page, when you try to make a copy or printing a self test, then the issue is with the print cartridges.

Be sure that you are using the Hp genuine ink cartridges not refiled nor re-manufacture. Check the expiry date printed on both the print cartridges.

If all are correct, then perform the below steps to clean the print cartridges.

1. Using a clean, dry lint-free cloth (a coffee filter works well), wipe the cartridges , from the top to the bottom.
2. The contact area of the cartridge should be rubbed briskly to remove the waxy lubricant material from the gold contacts.
3. The contacts inside the printer may also require cleaning. Using a clean, dry, lint-free cloth, gently wipe the contacts, from the top to the bottom.

Then perform the below steps to power cycle the All-in-One unit.

1. Verify that the unit is switched on. Disconnect power cable from All-in-One and also from wall outlet.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug in the power cable to All-in-One and also to wall outlet.

Then insert the print cartridges and try to make a copy and check for the result.

Please revert back to me if the issue occurs again.

Hp4650 printing BLANK pages


Try printing a configuration page to see if that comes out. If it does then you might have a print driver problem. Also try printiing a test page from the printer properties on that printer.

HP photosmart 7150 - looks like it's printing - pages blank


In my case, reinstalling didn't help at all.
In Control Panel->System->Advanced Properties->Performance, enabling DEP only for the essential windows services solved the problem.
