First make sure to connect the TV to your receiver the proper way as per your manual .
Usually you should have AUX , VIDEO , TV or DVD .
Make sure once you have connected your TV sound cord to press the correct button from the front of your receiver .
Please let me know what receiver model it is and i will be able to determine the connections and set up .

Hi,

Initially, pls verify the splicing/wiring:

If verified and still no sound, either:
  • setting configuration (menu); or
  • internal fault of the Pioneer unit.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

My car stereo has no sound.

Same thing happened in my 1993 Chevy S10 pickup. What happened with mine is all of the metal tips to the speaker wires fried because they were so old or something. Or maybe they touched each other or something. Not too sure how it happened, but I got new wiring and now it works fine.

I listen my self on my car sound system when i transmit

its a fact of life when it comes to CB. Some times you will hear it over the radio if it is on. Happens with mine. There really is no way to solve it unless you replace all the speaker wire in the car with shielded wire.

You are sending out RF. When the AM modulation hits the speaker wires, the act like an antenna a bit. If there is any electrical signal in the wires, from the radio being on, even if the volume is low, and some times even down all the way, the signal in the wire coming from the radio acts like a carrier signal and causes the speaker to resonate to the modulation, giving you your voice on the speakers.

You can try running the power wire right to the battery, but its most likely coming from the antenna.

You probably will not ever be able to get rid of it.

Some cars it doesn't effect depending on the speaker wires, some it does.

I can say that a lot of people have their radio modded so that they can hear them selves over the radio when they talk. its called talk back. This way you can know how your audio sounds.

Think of it this way. You don't have to pay a tech to add this feature.

DVD Player doesn't work???

It may be the yellow RCA plug ,which is the one that controls the picture is bad on either end. Try this. Unplug the red connector from the DVD player and the TV. Plug that red connector into the Yellow jack on the TV and DVD player. If that works it means the yellow wire is bad. Just go to Wal Mart or Radio Shack and buy a new 3way wire system. Check to see how long you want the wires to be as there are different lengths available.

System works great with dvd, radio, and ipod dock. But when listening to the tv through the system, the sound is very low even when the volume is at its max.

It sounds like either the input selected to the receiver is wrong, the wires are not hooked up correctly, or the wires are bad. What type of connection are you using-RCA jacks, DVi connector, etc?

Gurus, I just bought Samsung Home Theater System which i connected to my Hitachi TV with HDMI cable. I have a Optical Cable going from HT to my TV Optical port. I have another connection from my cable

On the remote control for the Samsung Home Theater System look at the bottom left to a button that says "MODE", those moods change the sound each speaker gives off. if that doesn't work, you might need new wiring because there are other wires that are more durable than the ones that come with it, much better too.

plug it and with power on but don't turn the station on, leave it in standby mode. then press and hold mem/set on your remote. then set the hour and press mem/set to move onto the minutes. when done press mem/set again and your time is sorted.
