Do u fix tv

We don't repair them ourselves, but some of our requesters do repair their own. Truthfully, with the price of flat screen TVs in the $250-$350 range these days for sizes up to 40" or better, and with newer sets doing more, having better picture and sound, using less energy than their earlier counterparts, and with service labor costs so high, repairs of older TVs isn't cost effective unless you can repair it yourself with used or discount parts. And that is assuming you guess the right part the first time. Many do not and wind up spending more to repair their older set than it was worth.

I have a 42" Samsung HD Plasma 1080. Started going

Sounds like it may need to be serviced due to component failure which unchecked will get worse, it may be also worth try to reset it back to factory settings in its setup menu this should clear any software issues it may have, but I think its more possible a faulty part or parts which comes down to cost and is it worth it sadly?

Hope this helps.........

Hitachi projection 53" screen color off

Since this is a CRT based projection set, there is no "lamp" involved. Does the picture look like 3-D? If so, the problem is likely to be a convergence problem. There should be 1 or 2 convergence ICs marked STK392-110 inside attached to a heatsink. If you can solder, try resoldering the pins on those ICs. If that fails to resolve the problem, replace them.

Keep us posted.

Picture Problem

Hello, I had a problem with mine. The colors separated a little, the picture got small and was worse on bright scenes. Got it fixed, the tech replaced an IC and I kept the part number.... Part# 483520988561. I don't know if the same IC controls the part of the picture that you have a problem with or not. I am happy that I got mine fixed, it was worth it. The tech knew the IC I needed from the description of the problem on the phone.

Loss of colour

With the set being 12 years old, I'm sure the picture tube is near the end of its useful life. You probably have a defective semiconductor, either an IC or transistor that has gone up giving you no color, but with the green picture, it is not likely worth repair.

Constant changes in picture colors.

It is a 20" TV set and will most likly, im afraid to tell you, cost more to fix then it is worth. The problem is a bad Picture tube, an intermittant CRT socket or the video jungle IC is intermittant. If you want to invest in an estimate, check out first if it will go towards the repair, as then maybe you can get it fixed at a good price, as long as the picture tube is not the problem Good Luck
