I have a Royale Dometic refrigerator in my 1999 trailer. The plastic piece on the upper right of the main door broke. Its one of the pieces that holds the door open when it swings open. The whole door fell off.

You are able to order a new door, without panels (reuse your old ones), from Dometic. You can also try seeing if a used parts outlets has them as well. One that I use frequently is Colaws RV Salvage.

Here is the complete parts list for that unit. You can order directly from the supplier and all parts come with a 365 day, any part, any reason return policy.
I have a related question. My lower spring broke and I have the replacement spring. How do I put it into both plastic fittings at the same time. One arm on the spring goes on mullion while the other arm goes into a fitting on the door. Please help!
The plastic piece that is moulded to the inner door that holds up the shelf on a fisher & paykel fridge has cracked and no longer holds the shelf. Can I buy a new door liner or does the whole door need to be replaced?
there is a plastic part that attaches to the lower hinge that helps keep the door closed. it is like a rocker that when the door is open the door rides up on the plastic rocker then as you close the door the door rides down on the hinge rocker and helps to force it closed. mine stopped closing on it's own then all of a sudden the black plastic piece broke and fell to the floor. I am ordering a new piece if I can find the part number.
the hinge is not plastic, only the insert sleeve that goes into the hole atop the door is plastic. If the actual hinge (metal arm) is broke, then you need to order a new part (not difficult if frig is 20 years or less). If you cannot find the part, go to a metal shop and show them the broken part, they usually can repair it or remake a new piece.
If the hole in the door went bad (that is: if the hole tore open and cannot hold the hinge pin) you need to have a metal repair brace added to the door. This will involve the metal shop or a good mechanic that can come to you and do the neccessary repair at the house; otherwise you need to bring the door to the metal shop. macgivor
If you still have the broken piece, you can try to use that to try to open the back. Otherwise, you have to open it from the inside. I changed mine in 2007 so if memory serves me, I had to remove the back panel and pull on the cable to open the door.
Now to see and pull on the cable, and replace the latch, you have to take off the inside liner/panel to get to the latch to replace it. This took about 2 careful hours to replace.
The trick is to get the two side pieces off. These two plastic pieces are next to the window on the left and right sides. Each piece is about 3 inches wide and 18 inches long. Using a strong grip, or a pry bar or large screwdriver, take off both pieces. There are three clip areas that holds each piece in.
If you are using a tool, be careful to protect the area by wrapping a towel on the screwdriver/tool.
After that the bottom liner piece pulls away and you can see the latch. There are two screws/bolts that holds the latch.
The two pieces snaps back in pretty easily.
You probably broke the plastic piece shaped like a J. You can try to glue the pieces back, but note that the piece broke due to age. I changed the whole assembly - good for another 7 yrs. I could not find just the plastic piece
