I have had this maching for 6 years now and never a problem I take great care of it (no tap water, etc). I have a problem where the red exclamation light on the left keeps blinking. The boiler heats up and produces hot water and steam. The grind and brew portion is not working.I cant remove the drawer because the brew mechanism seems to be out of the parked position because it stop working half way through a brew cycle (or so my wife tells me). The instruction manual was no help. I feel very comfortable taking these apart and fixing them myself. I had two super-automatica's before that I took apart, repaced boilers and boards to repair. I just dont know what is wrong. I remember that there is a diagnostic readout that I can access, but I do not remember which buttons to push or what the lights mean.

When the red exclamation point is flashing slow, something is not where it is supposed to be, bean hopper lid, door, brew mech, water tank empty, dregs box or water tray on dregs container is full. If the red exclamation point is flashing quickly, open the steam valve for pump priming. If pump turns on, and water passes correctly, the light should go off and return to heating stage. If not, we have a blockage or a pump that is not working correctly.
1. Your coffee maker might suffer from Steam, Coffee Bolier clogging due to scale. Due to clogging you are unable to product perfect steam, temperature drop in coffee, inconsistent steam flow, inconsistent water flow etc. We strongly advise you to do regular Descaling to your coffee maker (every 200-300 cups or 2 months)
2. If your coffee maker in working condition but still light is keep on blinking means required "Descaling". Please use the food graded Delonghi or equivalent brand descaler.
3. Remove the brew unit from the machine. Check the mechanism and refit the same into the machine.
Have you solve your problem with Odea. Mine is new out of the box and not working at all. Red light blinking, manually prime it and so far only tree cups of coffee. After priming it the green light was solid and could make 3 cups then stopped. Any advise greatly appreciated.
Hi there are a couple things you might try. There is a screw in the top of the pressurestat. Turn the screw counter clockwise to lower the pressure. The light should go off just before the 11:30 position on the gauge.
There are 2 probes on top of the boiler that needs cleaning every so often. A yellow and a green wire connect to the top of the probes. Loosen the small nut about 2 turns or all the way out. Then pull on the probes to remove then. Sometimes it comes out with the white seal. that is OK. Clean the bottom of the probes and then reinstall. Yellow goes on the left and green on the right.
You have to 'manually' prime the pump: When the red exclamation mark shows, press the water switch on the right side (the picture of the water drip), then open up the steam nozzle and let the machine pump hot water into a cup until the red light goes out.
Ok first check if the machine is in greenlight state when you press and hold the water button, as it will not work when the red exclamation mark blinking.
also check if the button work at all flipping back and forth to hot water and steam.
I have never had this problem that it dident work.
But remember this, you dont have to do the descaling again as that has nothing to do with the reset.
You can even reset the descaling alarm with out having done the descaling.
If that for some reason wouldent work I would think its the CPU card is not working.
I had a similar problem, but no blinking light, only cold coffee. I tapped on the relay (black box on circuit board) and violá. Red light, hot coffee, and happiness. The machine did the same thing a couple of weeks after the "fix", and a good slap to the left side, and I was back in business. My guess is that your switch is bad or sticking. Good luck.
