Question about Bosch Vacuums

1 Answer

I have a Bosch Premium Electro Duo 'HC 1400 W - 12Amps cannister vaccum. The orange filter light came on so I replaced the charcoal filter and hepa filter. The light is still on and the vaccum has very little suction.

Hi

It is blocked up probably in the hose. Try cleaning everything in the vacuum cleaner, hoses and filters and where you collect the dirt. Something must be blocking it up. If you have any brushes check to see if thread or hair is rolled around into it. Grab your manual and follow up on all questions and answers and trouble shoot problems. Sometimes it is amazing what things can plug it up. Or after all the inspection you've done then I would check online to the Dyson vacuum cleaner and give the model number to see if there may be other reasons why you have lost suction through the wand.

It was a piece of paper that was not visible from either end. Thank goodness for long skinny fingers. I was able to dislodge it and now it works great. :)

Filter mesh holder is damaged, locking holes are broken will not lock in place - need new filter mesh

Hi Joe: The model has been discontinued and difficult to find replacement parts. I located a few online suppliers offering a HEPA Filter that fits the BUC11700UC. See here:

http://www.vacuumcleaners.net/bosch-buz200hcuc-hepa-filter-for-bagless-jet-upright.html or

http://www.allergybegone.com/boshepfilfor4.html or

Is this the part you are looking for? The third site above does offer other replacement parts if you are looking for a different filter piece.

Thank you for using Fixya!

Hi, I have a canister Kenmore vacuum with power head. Everytime I use it, it smells sour. Its strong and like FEET with bad odor. My old Kenmore did the same thing but I used it anyway...because the power...

Never heard of this odor but if you have had it in both vacs it might have something to do with a disintegrating rubber backing on a carpet.
Arm and Hammer makes a baking soda based vac powder that will help eliminate some odors.
Do several things , get the powder and pour a tablespoon of it or baking soda into a fresh bag. Keep your filters fresh. If you use washable filters be certain they are thoroughly dry before reinstalling. And use a Mutli ply filter bag.. and NEVER pick up anything wet or vacuum a damp carpet

HEPA FILTER REMOVAL

the filter should be easily accessable on the right side of the vacum cleaner if it's facing you. at the base of the vacum there is a large round cover that is removable and behind it it the filter. generally you dont need to replace it. its a big round spunge that you could rinse with water and squeeze out until it's clean. you also need to rinse the filter cover which is like a plastic netting. let it dry for 24 hours and you should be good to go!
enjoy!

Miele Revolution Vaccuum cleaner manual

Under the download section is the owners manual. This is for the same series Miele that you have so this manual will have most everything you need to know. The black filter is a charcoal filter, this is good if you want to control the odor but don't have allergies. If you have allergies you might wont to get a HEPA filter. I would recommend changing the filter every 6 months to a year. You need to use the empty filter when you want to use it as a blower. The hose will not fit into the opening with the HEPA or charcoal filter in place. I hope this helps.

Kenmore progressive vaccuum

Did you replace the hepa filter with a new one? Those filters may not look bad, but after a period of time and use, air is restricted thru them. They should be changed at least once per year.
