The recorder is 10 years old. All appears to work OK. But on retuning the stations it finds none. Is this because we have moved over to digital and the recorder has an analogue tuner? any fixes?

The input from the component output does not display on the (sony) tv. The cables are good. Also the TV picture does not display . Can anyone help?

I take it is a video signal, is it analogue or digital, modern TVs need a digital signal and the old ones analogue, best to find out.

No problem but there are no instructions in the manual how to record from digital TV My TV is TONY DIgital And My DVD RCDR is also SONY model no RDRHX720 Thank you A Dali

If you have analogue monitor out sockets at the back of the TV. Yellow /Red/White. Get yourself an AV cable with the same 3 color codes and link it to your DVD Recorders AV input.Select AV input on the source selector of the recorder and while watching a program on Tv hit the record button to write the content onto a blank disc.

I recorded analog music on md.now how can i transfer analog music to pc and chanege it to digital music on memory of pc.

Your analogue music will have been recorded digitally by your machine.

Digital transfers are only possible from the host pc/Mac to the player and not the other way around.

But you can transfer the audio signal by connecting the headphone output to the Mac audio input; look into the Minidisc player menu and you can set the headphone socket to "line" which bypasses the volume control circuits for better quality, your computer will then re-convert the analogue input into a digital signal with a small loss of quality.
