Must take out the bulb first, then determine what bulb is it and who manufacture it.

Mitsubishi model wd=65c9 when turned on green light blinks repeatably sound comes on but no picture

The bulb that lights your picture is burned out. Buy a new warranted bulb from shopjimmy.com $85 with the housing. You can replace this yourself in 5 minutes. Shop jimmy has a video showing replacement. Remove 2 screws that hold the housing in place, slide the bulb out and slide the new bulb with housing in and replace the 2 screws. Plug in and enjoy your tv.

the low beam element has burned out in the light bulb itself - buy and install a new bulb,, this will fix your problem. ( your local auto parts store will carry the replacement bulb ).

Hello, I got this Model in 2006 and my picture has got dimmer and dimmer. Is their just one bulb that needs to be replaced, and is it the bulb? Thank You!

there is more than one bulb, you need to call samsung to find out just how many. the bulb can be the primary fault , however all plasma tv's will dim more and more over time. It has more to do with the plasma panel though. replacing the bulbs may brighten the picture some however if it were only the bulbs you would have no picture at all. my personal opinion in this case would be to not replace the bulbs, i doubt that will solve your problem even if it does brighten the picture some i doubt it will produce the solution you are seeking. plasma tv's are great but they do have drawbacks, like the bulbs needing to be replaced and the fact that the panels get burn in . the problem you have is more to do with burn in than it does the bulbs. even thought there is no static image in one place ( what people think burn in is only ) the entire panel has " burn in " slightly which dulls the screen. i suggest buying a new tv, lcd or lcd/led to avoid this in the future. you can try to use the same thing they do to fix actual burn in of a static image, that may brighten the screen a little, however in some instances that is the culprit. to truely explain all this it would take a very long time , look up burn in on the internet and read about all the causes and solutions, you will then understand in a rather short period of time.

After a period of time, vertical lines appear on the screen. Looks like jail bars. Sometimes turning the TV off, then back on will clear it. All channels. I replaced the projection bulb about 6 months...

no solution, same sounding problem though. last year we were getting lines through the screen and flickering and then the bulb burned out. had it replaced, 2 months later it did it again (they wouldn't stand behind the bulb so we had to buy a whole new one) this time had the bulb and ballast replaced because the repair guy said usually you have to replace both (why didn't they replace them both in the first place?) .. a year later and it's doing it again.. we get the flickering of the screen going on and off and horizontal lines that flicker across it. after turning the TV off and on a few times it seems to go away (or after it warms up)

i know know if i should order another bulb and ballast and spend the money for it to happen again or if it could be something else

let me know if you find a solution.. carolynspranger@gmail.com

This problem cannot be fixed without opening the TV Im assuming sound without a picture? check the inverter voltage on the powersupply for the bulb.Look for burns bulged caps.start from the the wires comming out of the bulb housing and work backwards untill your checking the wall socket.A big problem with older tv's is heat causing the board to crack try applying alittle pressure around the boards and see if it turns on.Check the bulbs but be careful with the age of this tv and the price of the bulbs you wouldnt want to buy it unless you know for sure.

Replacement rear brake bulb

He probably bought the wrong bulb. Look in the manual. They list the correct bulb numbers, so check that. It could also be that your mirror bulb decided to burn out at the same time. Also, check the fuses, see if one burned out. Look in your owner's manual to find the fuses and the right one.

My element 19 inch flx-1910 tv will not power up

Element FLX-1910
Problem: When the TV is turned on a picture appears for a few seconds and then the picture turns off. Audio is still heard.

Solution: Not a simple fix! This TV has 4 small florescent looking bulbs that act like a back light to light the image on the liquid crystal display (LCD). At least one of these bulbs is burned out or broken. The wires powering the broken bulb need to be cut and spiced together. Basically you’re bypassing the bulb and completing the circuit when cutting the wires going to the bulb on each end and splicing them together.

WARNING: This worked for me but no guarantee for anyone who tries it. This is a very involved procedure and involves completely dismantling your television. To be honest I don’t recommend anyone trying to fix it unless you are very technically minded and have a couple of hours to waste carefully tearing apart your TV. If anyone is willing to attempt this repair I am willing answer questions.

Cause of problem: It is my guess that this problem occurs when the TV is left on for extended periods of time. Like leaving the TV on when you fall asleep at night. My TV was left on a lot. I noticed that the plastic was melted and discolored where the bulb had burned out. (This can only be seen internally and is no way visible from the exterior)
