Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9564J Top Load Washer
My washer will only spin when it is empty. The washer will not spin with inside the tub but the motor runs. If I take the clothes out of the washer then it will spin. If I put clothes inside the washer the motor just runs. Do I need a new motor?

I have read that if the pump is not draining the tub completely, there is an interlock that prevents the high speed spin from engagin. I have had debris caught in my pump several times (kids!!) with similar issues. There is a trap on the line leading from the tub to the pump which is "supposed" to capture debris, but it doesn't work all that well. Check your pump.....

SOURCE: Washer does not spin
I had the same problem in october- my had a bad wiring harness, some board problem, and a bad sensor. if it hadn't been under warranty the cost of parts alone would have been over 1000bucks.

SOURCE: Duet washer door locked
Pull the front panel off, look for a plastic piece , it has a filter that you need to pull out. turn it to the left pull it out and clean it. This solved the problem for me. had the same issues.
