You can usually find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383

I recommend that you do not remove the door or hinges to do the job because if it's not aligned exactly, you can have microwave leakage.

Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the screws you need to remove.

SOURCE: Microwave Oven replacing plastic film on inside of door

FSP stands for "Factory Service Parts" which I believe was originally terminology from Amana, which now (along with several other brands such as Electrolux, Frigidaire, Jenn-Air, Kitchen Aid, Litton, Roper, and Whirlpool) is now under the Maytag umbrella.

Confusing, eh??

Hopefully the new one will have adhesive included. If not, then you'll have two sheets to use to get it right.

In that case, I'd probably recommend the spray-on type adhesive you can find at hardware stores or big box stores such as Wal-Mart, Home Depot, Lowe's etc. It will probably be made by 3M.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you need more help.

Normally You have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screw(s) you need to remove.

Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done.

In some cases, you then have to gently rotate the handle to unlock it.

You can order parts here.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

SOURCE: Replacing a whirlpool microwave door handle! got

To replace the door handle you need to access the door handle screws. On MOST microwave ovens, you just have to remove the inner door panel that goes around the perimeter of the glass. This can be easily be accomplished by using a small screwdriver or putty knife and carefully insert along the seam of the inner panel and pry the plastic up. Work your way slowly around the perimiter of the glass to pop the panel loose. Use care not to pry against the glass. The glass is tempered and also has an RF shield that shields you from harmful RF radiation.

With the inner panel removed, the door handle screws are visibile and can easily be accessed with a screwdriver. Simply remove the broken handle and install the new one. Re-insert the inner door panel, gradually working your way around the perimeter of the door glass to ensure it snaps back into place and seats properly.

This repair can be done with the door in place, or you can remove it for easier access. If you decide the remove the door, open it all the way and lift straight up at the hinges. The door will lift off of the hinge pins. On some microwaves, you may have to remove the upper grill cover over the door (if equipped) to accommodate door removal. Place on a hard flat surface with some towels under it for padding. This protects the door facing from scatches.

NOTE: Some doors have a hinge pin that needs to be removed, or screws holding the door in place at the hinge.

You can view an exploded view diagram of your microwave at pcappliancerepair.com for reference. Just type in your model number and locate the parts listing for the door. If you have any questions, or require additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Need to replace door handle

1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power. 2. Open the microwave oven door. 3. Pry the choke cover away from the top door pin, and remove the top pin from the pivot bracket. Lift the door off the bottom bracket, and remove it. 4. Place the oven door front side down on a padded surface. 5. Remove the choke screws from the door frame. 6. Starting at the top right corner, pry the choke cover out with a putty knife, and unsnap it from the choke. Only remove the top, bottom and right sides of the choke cover at this time. You will remove the handle end of the choke cover later. 7. Starting at the top edge of the door near the center and working clockwise, use a putty knife, and pry the latching tabs of the choke out of the door frame slots. Lift the choke as you release the tabs so they do not snap back into the slots. NOTE: When you reach the handle side of door, pull both the choke and the choke cover away from the door frame, and then separate the two components. 8. To remove the door switch actuators from the choke, remove the screw from each actuator. REASSEMBLY NOTE: When you reinstall the door on the oven, insert the top pin into the pivot bracket and press down on the pin until it snaps into place

Remove two screws on top at front in order to remove plastic front vent grill. Then the door lifts off pin hinges. Lay door flat on surface. Plastic trim snaps off with gentle prying (start at bottom middle and bottom hinge side). Then remove six screws holding notched metal section with door latch. This piece will also snap out (several visible clips holding it around edges). Then remove door handle screws, Replace handle and reverse process to put back together.
