Question about Husqvarna 28cc Gas Line Trimmer

Pull cord will not retract

Husqvarna 128C trimmer. Started it for the first time and the pull cord will not retract. Easily fixed or is it a return? Thanks.

This takes some mechanical skill and knowledge to fix...definitely would take it back..I would have thought these manufacturers could have fixed these idiotic quality control problems by goes on and on and....I know, folks would say..ya get what ya pay in this case, you paid for a useless machine that you never even were able to use...that is NOT what you were SUPPOSED to get now was it!

Make sure there is not debris stopping the head. Try removing the trimmer head and make sure the shaft turns freely. If it does the problem could be either the engine or clutch.

How do i remove the whole head off of husqvarna 128c

Hi,here is the illustrated diagram of the 128C trimmer head. Most strimmer heads screw on anticlockwise and require the inner head to be held or locked in order for it to screw on.

How do you adjust air and gas on 128c

You need a special tool to adjust the H and L fuel screws on the carb, the part no. is 530035560, they are fuel screws, so unscrew anti clockwise to richen the mixture.

Husqvarna hedge trimmer hard to pull cord

check the piston inside the cylinder for extreme wear. If it feels sticky and is hard to pull it sounds like a lack of oil in the cylinder and it has started to seize.

I have a Husqvarna 455 Rancher chainsaw with a 20"

Part of the cord must of got into the clutch if its not the retracting mechanisem or spring you are on the right track. The olny question i have is if its a 2007 why did the cord fail so quickly. rebuild it you will find the answer I can't see it and you sound vary capabale of fixing this

I have a Husqvarna 323L line trimmer, I replaced the fuel filter and lines. I'm trying to put the pull starter back on and it seems to be lined up correctly but when I pull the cord it makes and noise as...

Is the line you speak of the one that won't retract? I can't imagine you'd replace that line, but maybe so, please clarify.

Husqvarna pull cord problem

I had this happen after about 15 uses. I just exchanged the unit. The pull start mechanism can be ordered and is easy to replace. There are parts inside that are nylon and break easily. Any local dealer can order the part for you.
