Question about Computers & Internet
This problem can cause other problems trying to fix it, as you've already learned from your last experience. Your friend didn't disable the print function- it's a problem with the interface with the website. I, if I were you, would copy and paste the emails in Wordpad or any similar program, and print them out from there. Sometimes there's a problem or compatibility issue, and it's just easier to work around it. If you have to be able to print emails, you will first have to figure out the problem with the webpage (which the provider will have to fix). This is a seemingly simple problem, but the fix can be tricky, unless you get hold of the right person to fix it, through contacting the website. Good luck, and hope this helps.

Open up Yahoo your Email, (either Classic or new version) click on your Inbox to view messages.
Double click (or click on the subject line to open if using Yahoo email classic) the message that contains the desired message or photo you wish to print.
Locate and click the "printer icon" (the picture looks like a printer) on the top of Yahoo email or go to the File menu at the top of your web browser and click "print."
If you are using Yahoo email classic, they have a selection (once you are inside of an email message) on the top--to the right of the screen that allows you to click "printable view."
A new window will open up and your entire email will appear. Click "print," which is underlined, at the top right of the screen.
A dialog box will pop up and ask you to confirm, click the "OK" button on the bottom of the screen.
Your entire yahoo email message should print out fully (not just the header). This is good for articles, messages and photos you wish to keep.
Bear in mind that one page on the screen is not equivalent to one printed page, in fact, it may be quite a few more pages.
If you only wish to print one page: select file, print and click on the second radio button in front of "pages 1 of 1."
Or, specify 2 or 3, for example. If you know it will run into more pages.
Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the box to start printing.
You can always reprint if it doesn't print correctly.
These steps will work for either Yahoo email classic or the newer version of Yahoo mail.
