This is probably caused by dust build up so all that you have to do is spray it down with a can of air make sure that you hold it at least two inches from the machine also make sure that the vents arent cover it might be getting poor circulation.

hope that this is useful to you!

Wii not reading ant discs

ken3_2000

In regards to your Wii not reading disks most likely your laser is dirty or you are having trouble with your drive its self.

They make a laser cleaning kit for the Wii you may try using to clean the laser. Note DO NOT USE a DVD/CD cleaner disk on the Wii. Only use ones that are made for game systems. Alot of times the lense for the laser is made different for game systems and if you use a standard one it can scratch the lense.

If this does not work then I would see if you are still in warranty. If you do then contact Wii support about getting an RMA.

If not you will need to look into replacing the drive. (There are several walk throughs on the Internet.) If you do not think you can do it your self then you may be able to find a local repair shop that can do it for you.

Hope this helps

Wii doesn't work

If your having this problem, its either a issue with your particular cables or with the system its self. (Usually its the system). Call nintendo, they will ask you to do some sort of troubleshooting and then if your within your year of ownership, they should offer you a free repair.
