Coffee maker overflows

Who owns the brewer. Usually the OCS supply does the maintenance. Office Coffee Systems sell and service the brewers...the service if for free. Does it have a label on the side or anywhere. If it is overflowing, is it out of the brew basket in to the pot?...There are a couple reasons for that. Is it a water line model?. If it is a pour over, it is human error. If it is a water line model it is probably a leaky inlet water valve. http://www.pamasco.com/bloomfieldsolenoidvalvesandrelatedparts.aspx

Bloomfield coffee maker overflows, even with plain filter

The outlet of the cone filter holder is clogged. Normally its just a hole you can clean out but some units have a valve that is pushed up/open by your coffee pot. That valve may be clogged or if you changed the coffee pot it may not be opening due to the different pot. Clean valve or just remove it so the coffee will run into coffee pot.

I bought a used stf 15 bunn coffee maker , i hooked it up to the water line , and plugged it in , my problem is that it will run about enough water for about 2 pots , i hear it click when the first pot...

Yes that is possible. There is a pressure regulator that is normally mounted on the back of the coffee maker. On older models the filter and pressure regulator may be inside the cabinet accessable by removing the bottom panel of the coffeemaker. The pressure regulator is a hexagon shaped usually brass fitting about 3 inches in length. The filter looks much the same. Both of these brass fittings should be somewhere in the water line between the wall faucet and the water inlet of the coffee maker. If not there the unit will overflow if you water pressure is over 40 psi in your location. These fittings are available from restaurant equipment stores and on Ebay for example. There is one other thing you may try. If you take off the panel directly behind the coffee pot you will see two adjustments. One is a temperature adjustment and looks like a small pin sticking up with a smaller pin at 90 degrees from it. The other adjustment is a timer. There will be a dial on the timer. This timer sets the amount of water per cycle by controlling the time that the fill valve stays open. Turn the timer counterclockwise by about 25% and hit the brew button again. If it overflows reduce the timer again. If you don't have a pressure regulator, you may not be able to turn the timer low enough to prevent the overflow situation. Good luck!

Keeps spilling over during brewing

These tanks can't actually be overfilled since all water poured in displaces the exact same amount of water coming out the spout. So, whatever amount of water you pour in, will be the same amount of water that flows to your pot minus the amount absorbed by the coffee grounds and filter.

Your problems sounds like an undersized (Non Bunn) filter, or clogged brew basket. To verify this, try pouring in only half the water for your brew cycle and wait for it to finish dripping, then pour in the rest. If no overflow has occurred, you simply have the wrong type of filter. If overflow begins again, you have a clogged brew basket, since no Bunn can flow too fast for the brew basket to keep up with it.

This is because Bunn filters are manufactured differently than generic store bought paper filters. They will flow faster, brew cleaner and stand up better than normal generic filters.
Remember, Bunn makes their OWN filters for good reason.
They made the first, best paper filters for drip coffee pots, and all others are just generic dioxin gas producing paper.

Bunn coffee pot blows water out top of basket

Check the grind on the coffee, brew a pot without coffee and if it overflows, then the machine has a problem. If it doesn't then try a coarser grind on the coffee.

Cuisinart coffee maker from costco, the grinds backed up twice.

It sounds like the release at the bottom of the basket was not open when you put the pot in to receive the coffee. You might check the release on the basket by takin the basket out, putting water in the basket and tripping (pushing up) on the botton on the bottom to see if the water flows through. It could be clogged.
You should clean the coffee maker about every 30 pots of coffee to keep scale from gathering in the heating tubes.
