Firstly check the volume is not low or muted on both windows and the speakers. In windows click the speaker icon in the bottom right of your screen, check the volume is turned up. Then click mixer or advanced and check that all volumes are turned up.
If using a laptop, check that the hotkey control for volume is on. You will see an audio icon on one of your ‘F’ keys, hold the Fn button located near the ctrl and press the volume function key.
Next open Device Manager from Control Panel and check there are no yellow exclamation marks on any drivers. If there are then you need a new driver.
If you are still having issues the sound card may be faulty, this is usually integrated into the motherboard. In a desktop PC you could buy a new PCI soundcard if you have a spare PCI slot in your machine.
You need to goto the manufacturers website, find their support section and there should be a list of drivers for your specific machine. Installing these should resolve your problem. I have a list of links to most manufacturers drivers on my website.
Hope this helps,

I did a format to my comp and i lost the drivers for my Inspire T 5900 do you know were to download them?

First, speakers don't have drivers (although one of the names used for a speaker is a driver.) Sound cards have drivers.

Inspire T5900 MF4045 Speakers Do Not Require Drivers/Applications to Work (Non-USB Speakers)

Creative speakers do not need to be installed at all as they can be plugged in to a device and ready to be used straight away.

Desktop speakers are designed to function with most sound cards without the use of any drivers. As such, there are no drivers necessary for the speakers to function as they were designed. The sound card or audio device which the speakers are plugged into may require drivers and/or software to work. Ensure that your speaker is connected to your sound card's audio out and that your sound card is configured properly to output sound. Please contact the sound card manufacturer for driver availability.

MY OLD INSIGNIA SPEAKERS (WITHA SUB-WOOFER) WENT UP SO I GOT A SIMPLE 2 SPEAKER INSIGNIA 2.0 POWERED SPEAKERS. NOW I CANT GET ANY SOUND. ANY THOUGHTS?

1. Try looking in the taskbar of the Windows screen and selecting the volume control ( a speaker icon) check the mixer see if the volume is not muted or in the "0" position
2.Check the "input port on the sound card where you connected the new speaker assembly.
3. Check the volume control knob on the speaker assembly to see if it is not in the off or lowest volume position.
4. Check the new speaker by connecting them to another computer that has the sound already on and working this will let you know that the speaker assembly is good.
6. check the sound card drivers to the internal sound card that is on the mother board if this is where your sound card is located. Use the "manager" to see if it is working properly. If not then do a "reinstall of the sound card drivers or use the "update feature in the hardware window for the sound card to install the latest version of sound card drivers.
I hope this helps. Have a great day!

5.1 speakers dont work right on sound blaster card

Most music does not put out sound from the rear speakers. Test it with a DVD, most of them use the rear speakers for some sound effects.

Analog mode unfunctional

Dear kaarlo125

In regards to your card not working in analog mode the card can only do analog or digital not both. So for analog to work you will need to turn off the digital mode. You should be able to do this in the Audio HQ. There should be a check box that you will need to uncheck. However it is been awhile since I had my Live card working so I am not directly sure where it is at but if you have trouble finding it let me know and i can set the card up on my test system.

As for the speaker test there is not a real test for digital speakers because the audio is a compressed signal. Now there has been AC3 files rigged to work like a speaker test but this was not avalible with the Live card.

Let me know if you still have trouble. If you do I will need some more info:

Make and Model of your speakers.
Model of the Live Card (Also did the card come with your computer.) The link below will show you how to find the model number on the Live card.

BA735 no sound but sound card works in analog mode.

this should be pretty easy to diagnose. both speakers have mini jacks right? if so, and you plug one pair of speakers in on say, port "A" and you get sound then if you plug your other speakers in on port "A" and you don't get any sound, the problem is with your speakers.

Motherboard sound and old speakers

what really matters is the quality of the usb speakers. check specifications such as wattage first and find reviews if possible. however usb speakers will probably not come close to separate speakers. i'd recommend buying a cheap sound card ($20 or so). these work great overall. $20 spent on a sound card will be a better trade off than $20 spent on speakers. just use your old speakers with the new sound card and you'll have plenty of power. after this i'd recommend headphones as they work great in this case. finally moving the sound card would probably work fine, but i have doubts.

hopefully that helped

You need to use a digital interface cable between the sound card and the speakers to get all of the 6 channels to work properly.
