The best way to do it is by using a sim card reader,which u can buy in a mobile phone shop(make sure that it has a usb port otherwise u cant connect it to a laptop ) hope this helps....

There is sim slot in laptop. Just the tray out and put sim in it and insert again. You must have drivers for WWAN and PCI card drivers for this to work. After inserting sim tray in laptop back you system will detect it and open the WWAN software and try to connect.

Sorry Your Laptop Doesn't have any sim card slots,if you need to use/connect internet/call with your sim card you have to purchase a data card to insert your simcard and connect to your laptop.

The SIM tray near the battery allows you to connect to Internet or Dial. Sometime the Laptop/Netbook doesn't allow you to access your laptop/netbook. I suggest reseting your laptop will help you.
i would suggest calling technical support to see if the sim card you are using is even compatible with your laptop, you should not be having this problem if it is.
Here's how you can install the SIM card...
1. Turn off your computer.
2. Remove the battery.
3. In the battery bay, slide the SIM card into the SIM card slot.
4. Replace the battery.
5. Turn on your computer
That slot is an ExpressCard Slot for WWAN cards that require a sim card in order to
connect to the provider's network. Not all WWAN cards require sim
cards to connect. If you get an ExpressCard WWAN card, and that card requires a sim to
connect, then usually there will be a place on the card itself to put
the sim. The sim slot in the battery bay is because most mini-cards do
not have room to add the required sim card slot and still fit into the
system.
