This is common. Unplug it or turn off the circuit breaker for a full 5 minutes. Then plug-in and follow instructions. Things will be good, but if otherwise.
Sounds like you have a bad door switch. Depending on the age of the fridge, it might still be under warranty. If it's not, then you might be able to access the door switch yourself and pull it out & replace it
Good luck...

2012 open range refrigerator is closed but won’t stop beeping. It is acting like it’s open. Please help. Thanks.

I would look for some sort of door switch that is not engaging. There has to be something that tells the unit if the door is open or closed. This is the simplest and cheapest place to start.

The beeping noise is a warning that could be door open, hi interior temp or maybe the compressor is overheating. You might want to inspect the cooling fins for excessive dust or dirt that might be a problem.

Fridge/freezer beeping every few minutes

it beeps to tell you that the door is open and has been for about 5 minutes and that it won't work efficiently + it could be that you fridge is on an angle (leaning forwards) so just adjust the front feet or put cardboard underneath or that the magnet has gone and you would need to get a new seal from hotpoint. if you contact them, they might bfe able to tell you what you need.

hi - the beeps are an indications the door has not closed proper - It will seem the door switch could be faulty?

you could try adjustments - door hinge cover has door switch behind - loosen and see if seats better. You may have to replace the door switch mechanism to fix the problem.

I recently purchased a Frigidaire Beverage Center and had the same constant beeping issue as strivieri. I found my problem to be the door sensor. The door sensor is located on the lower bottom right of the unit and there is a metal plate mounted on the swinging door that is suppose to push that sensor in when the door is closed. However, this was poorly designed as it fails to do its task. I had a few adhesive floor protectors laying around that I used to stick to that metal plate that gave it the extra thickness needed to push in the door sensor when closing the door.

I hope this helps anyone else there having the same issue.

The refrigerator is probably beeping because it is too warm. It has a sensor thaat will make it beep to warn you if it gets too warm. After being off for such a long time it will take a long time to get it cold enough again to stop the beeping. Give it time and it will stop.
