How To Replace The Hose On A Bissell Spot Bot, SpotBot, and Little Green...

Replacing the Suction Hose on a Bissell SpotBot can be a challenging repair. We frequently get this question, how do you remove the old hose, so we decided to shoot a video repair demonstration on how to replace the hose assembly.
This repair works for all Bissell SpotBot models in the 1200 Series, as well as the 7887, and some Little Green Machines.
If you need to purchase a new Hose Assembly, you may find it on our website below:Bissell SpotBot Hose Assembly Part 203-6665

Here's the video showing how to replace the hose:

Please feel free to email us with any questions or clarification requests, and please be so kind and rate the video helpful if you found it to be.

My Bissel Spotbot will only let me use the Manual Mode, when I try to push "Set in Stain" or "Surface" stain the light won't turn on. My children were playing with it, but I...

There is a small magnet in the end of the hose. Under the phillips screw and plastic cover. Mine rusted to bits and stopped tripping the switch. A bit of a super strong hard drive magnet siliconed back in the end of the hose and all was fine.

Solution not coming out

The solution is to throw the piece of junk out! Last week my BISSEL upright rug shampooer stopped spraying and I did all the *fixes* that I could find on the internet, short of new parts. It's in the Trash now. Today my BISSEL SpotBot stopped spraying...I've used it maybe 10 times. BISSEL makes junk, IMO.

Bissell spotbot: leaking the dirty water from bottom. I took the bottom plate off and there is a really crappy rubber seal. I think it is leaking from there.

I had the same issue. After some research, I determined I was missing a black "duckbill" gasket on the bottom of the dirty water collection tank.

This caused reduced suction, and for the water to pool at the botom of the spotbot, thus leaking.

I purchased the gasket at Bissell for 1.39. The part number is 203-6646.

I purchased my SpotBot new from Target, and never remember seeing this black gasket, but the difference is night and day.

Bissell SpotBot gears jam.

Okay, guys.... I solved the problem. The answer lies in "solution #2", above. Indeed there are sockets for 16 plastic ball bearings in the SpotBot, and it's outfitted with only 8. Why? Who knows?

So, I ordered additional plastic balls from McMaster-Carr in Atlanta. www.mcmaster.com

You want part #9613K24. They'll send you 50 - 1/2" nylon balls for about $17, including FedEx shipping.

My SpotBot previously behaved as poorly as anything previously described, but now purrs like a kitten.

You'll have lots of balls left over -- if you'd rather get 10 from me for $10 instead of 50 for $17 from McMaster, email me at klynam@tampabay.rr.com and we'll work it out.
