Beep sound is usually due to an equipment malfunction, is usually ram and display card.was troubleshooting of both hardware (if you have no display card, just do a test on your ram)
> Open the casing cover your computer and remove the ram in the ram slot on your computer by pressing the two pins at the end of slot (Make sure the electrical power source is turned off first)
> Sweep ram slot with a small brush or small paint brush is not used (new)
> After cleaning the ram slot, use the eraser to clean the copper surface on the ram you are.
> When you're done, plug the ram in the slot. (If you have a new ram to do the troubleshooting is better) and I believe your problem is probably due to ram

I have a quanta 3082 MB in a HP Pavilion zd8230us laptop when I startup it beeps constantly got any ideas? anyone

The beeps with have a pattern to them. Listen closely when you first turn the laptop on and listen for the pattern. It might be something like 1-3-2 (1 beep, wait, 3 beeps in a row, wait, 2 beeps) It will repeat for listen for a bit to make sure you have the correct pattern. Once you have that pattern got to the HP webpage, in the support section, in the search type in "beep code errors". It will give you a list of beep patterns and tell you what the problem is. It could be the RAM, it could be another problem with the motherboard; those codes are what you need to have first.

Can not turn on my emachine desktop tried unpluging but still will not turn on

check the following list first

- 1 unplug the power cord from the computer, hold the power button for 10 seconds, plug it back in and power up the computer. (go to item 2 if this fails to solve problem)

- 2 power on the computer and listen for a beep sound at least one time (if no beep sound, then you have no post meaning a bad BIOS or a broken Motherboard) - (if this is the case replace motherboard else Move to Item 3 if N/A)

- 3 Power on the computer and make sure that the Power Supply fan is spinning ( if not then replace power supply) - ( move to item 4 if N/A)

- 4 If when powering on the PC you have a POST / beeps but no Video then count the amount of beeps ( shorts and longs beeps) in the same order the hear them, go to you pc manufacture and in the support section look for specs and find what bios chip it has, then go to google and look for your Bios Post Beep Code Errors

- you may find a defective / broken video card or bad RAM / Memory

Good luck.

My device is working, but apparently my sound scheme is wrong or something like that because all the noice it does it's only beep beep,i cant listen music and other things, how can i fix it

the beeps are post during post the very first work is done by the ram,all the memory in the ram is first transferred to the hard disk, and remains active untill turned off.
make sure that your RAM is securely seated
try replacing all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA the ones that attach from your motherboard to hard drive
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?
hope this helps

When ever i switch on my computer it gives so

if you are getting the beep codes while powering on your system then the most likely cause is due to RAM modules. Reseat the RAM modules on the motherboard or try swap the connectors and make sure and they are connected properly. When you try to connect a RAM try to listen the click sound as it ensures that it is connected properly and then reboot your computer and check if the beep sound remains or not.

Data is not sent to the monitor

The first thing to do is to pay attention for "beep" when your press the power button (or the reset button) to turn the computer on or reboot it. The beeps that a PC makes tells you a lot about the state of your computer. I couldn't quote for you the exact beeps to listen for, but your manual for your motherboard may tell you. Different beep pattersn tell you what is wrong with a computer.

I think for many common motherboards it is something like 4 beeps to tell you the graphics card has failed. Don't quote me, but that is at least along the lines of how it works if not the exact number.

If you're getting no display after starting your computer make sure you hear one beep. Then, listen for other activity. If you're computer has a floppy drive, listen for the 'floppy seek'. Otherwise, listen for hard drive activity. If it sounds as though there's activity along those lines but still no signal/display on the monitor perhaps check the cable between your PC and the monitor. Never hurts to just make sure the monitor is turned on of course.

If your monitor is on, and the cables are connected securely I wold restart the computer again and check for the beeps. I would be certain to count them and check the manual. Your graphics card may have failed if you hear abnormal beeps (more than one as one is usually the healthy indicator). If you hear no beeps then the PC is not even getting in as far as testing it's devices and could quite possibly be a motherboard failure.

P4vmm2 doesnt boot,Y?

Hi yansky, When you turn the computer on do you see or hear any of the following: -Does the power LED turn on and if so for how long? -When you turn you power on listen closely for any sounds like hard drives or fans starting up. -Does anything show on your monitor, if yes what exactly? -When turned on do you hear any beeping sounds from the computer? If you do listen for the pattern of long and short beeps and let us know what they are. If you see absolutely nothing you should try testing the socket the computer is plugged into. Fuses blow, power strips die cords develop shorts so unplug the computer and plug in a lamp to verify you?re getting power. If that doesn?t turn up anything let us know the answers to the questions above plus any other observations and we?ll try to help.
