Question about Vacuums
Can't find my owners manual. Searching online it is little wonder I cannot find it either, as this unit is 19 years old, and has never once failed me.
Best garage, construction vacuum you could EVER imagine.
Was expensive to buy, but was well worth it as there is no doubt I saved money, considering all the other new one's I would have purchased over the years due to others breaking.
Motor is very strong, and just cut out tonight. Due to the sound I think it is an electrical problem in the unit. Switch light does not light, and the fact that it was working as strong as ever, over the years, indicates to me that the motor is fine.
Hoping it is the switch, or other electrical problem, as this vacuum is/was AWESOME.
Hoping someone has a link they could throw my way for the owners manual, or possibly some advice on what I suspect is just an electrical problem.
Thanks to any and all who may offer some advice!

SOURCE: DC07 cutting out
I sounds that your thermal fuse is cutting out. By no means try to bypass this thermal fuse. It protects your product from catching on fire. Replace the thermal fuse at a service center. How old is this product?

unfortunatly what happens is the dirt that gets sucked up goes over the moter and ruins the motor. the fact that it lasted this long is suprising. the motor should be right behind the bag the only one that ive seen that isnt there is a kirby! I hope this helped you!

Don't know if you can find something that will work, Eureka doesn't make these motors available thru them. Try some local shops or a place that sells small motors.

Miele S251i Plus Bagged Canister VacuumMiele white star canister vacuum - won't turn on,...
I have the above canister vac, which after my son tried to vac the stairs, it rolled down the stairs on him, but still worked, after turned off/on. Then after turned off maybe 10-15 mins., stopped working when we tried the switch. My father in law is our fix it guy, but still having a problem with the switch. Is there a wiring guide we could look at?
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
You can try to call the factory for the Miele S251i schematics / wiring diagram @ the phone number and website listed below or I put a few pieces of information listed below that might help.
1. The vacuum cleaner switches off automatically
A temperature limiter switches the vacuum cleaner off automatically if it gets too hot. Some models have a warning light (triangle) which comes on to indicate that it has overheated. Allow the appliance to cool down for approx. 30 mins. and remove any blockages to the air path.
2. The "Change dustbag" indicator stays on even when a new bag has been inserted
To ensure the dustbag change indicator gives a correct reading, lift the floor nozzle or power head off the floor slightly to prevent the vacuum created in the suction tube from influencing the reading.
3. The exhaust filter indicator is red
Change the exhaust filter and then press "Reset" to switch off the indicator light.
