Consider temporarily disabling Windows Firewall, Norton Firewall, ZoneAlarm or any other firewall, as part of troubleshooting network printer problems. If your computer doesn't see the printer, the firewall must be blocking it.

Connection from computer

If the printer is connected via wireless it may not be set up correctly, as a network printer.

Connect it up via a USB cable to make sure it works, then change it to Wireless configuration and re-install it as a network not a USB printer.

Unstable connection

It sounds like an installation issue. Depeding on the printer, you have to install the software while the printer is connected to the network (sometimes, and sometimes you have to connect directly) and when you install the printer software, you have to tell the computer to find the printer on the network. If you don't install it this way, you will have problems. The problem is the printer/driver software on the computer that can't locate the printer on the network.

Unable to print on wireless network or send e-mail

Recheck that the printer is shared by the computer it is connected to and that all PCs are on the same network. If no success try disabling the firewall on the pc that your printer is connected to. (If printing now works readjust the firewall permissions).

On the second open Internet Explorer; Tools; Internet Options; Connections and make sure that there is a selection for... Never dial a connection.

The printer won't connect to my wireless network

I had the same problem. The issue was that the printer only accepts upper case letters for the network security pass phrase. However, my password was entered in lower case during the router set up.
I had to change the network password to upper case.

Can't connect my Ipod touch to my router?

You must be sure to what router you are trying to connect. I understand you have a ZyXel and a linksys. You must have 2 wireless networks. Your wireless network must be secured, so you just have to use the correct password. I need more details. Try this http://technicalsupport.blog.friendster.com

Ignore the instructions that come with the printer, choose Open System, then choose WEP, enter, and it hooks up. Thanks to the above posters for this solution.
