It could be as simple as something stuck under the key . turn laptop upside down and lightly tap to dislodge debris. if you feel comfortable remove the key with unit off and clean.

Is it possible to access my own facebook account without everyone else knowing I'm on it?

No one knows if you're logged in or not unless you post something or if your Facebook Chat is active. You can try disabling your Facebook Chat so no one will know you're online, or you can also make a Friend list, and put it in "Offline Mode" in chat and put people that you don't want to see you online.

To disable Facebook Chat, follow these steps:

1. Click on the small person icon in the Facebook chat tab located in the lower right corner to open the Facebook chat application window.

2. Click on the "Options" tab in the Facebook chat application window.

3. Click on "Go Offline." By clicking "Go Offline" only a couple of things will change: you won't be able to see who is online and they cannot see that you are online. You can stay on Facebook without receiving any more annoying pop up chat messages. The small person icon in the lower right-hand corner will now read "Offline."

4. Once you have clicked the Offline option, you remain offline in future Facebook sessions automatically unless you choose to go back online. You have now successfully turned off Facebook chat.

To create a Friend list refer to this link:

Hope this help. Goodluck!

Facebook chat causes typing to cease when new messages are reciev

An out of the box solution is to download a Facebook Messenger such as Chit Chat for Facebook.
It'll let you use Facebook Chat from your desktop without having to use your web-browser. It's also got tabbed instant message window making it easier to talk to many people at once.
The other solution is to upgrade your web-browser to Firefox or Chrome which doesn't have the problem in my opinion.

Multiple pop-ups switching

Consider switching browsers, I've never had this problem with Google's Chrome or the latest version of Firefox.
Alternatively, consider using a Facebook Chat Messenger such as Chit Chat for Facebook that allows you to talk to talk on Facebook without your internet browser. Moreover, its tabbed instant message window allows you to see who has sent you an instant message whilst your typing to someone else - without swapping over to that new Facebook Chat message!

Having problem with facebook chat popping up and covering my facebook home page could you remove facebook chat please thank you

Okay, so what you need to do is go to the chat menu, after you close it, and go to the options menu. Then there should be an option to have pop-up/pop-out Facebook chat. Turn it off.
