Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

I have a Grundig TV P37-080GB or G.CG61-02GBM bought in UK. Using Auto Tuning I can find local TV channels but the audio to each of these channels does not work. I get a hissing sound as gets when not tuned to a channel. The mute works OK.

Hi.

If you are using the TV in UK, and you are using the internal digital tuner (aerial cable to TV), then the TV may be defective (faulty tuner or audio circuit). In that case call Grundig at the number listed on manual.
If TV is using an external digi box (eg. freeview), then check connection from box to TV, test using a different connection cable. Test using a DVD, if TV works on DVD replace the digi box.

If you are trying to use the TV outside UK, and you are using the internal digital tuner, then there may be a problem with signal. In that case purchase a tuner box and connect it to the TV.

When you are auto tuning the system will not store a channel which is week by its standard ( at least 60% signal strength ) This done to avoid grainy picture and hissy sound.
You can go into manual tuning and store it.
