Question about GE Profile¿ Arctica® Energy Star® 25.5 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with Dispenser, PSS26MSRSS
I have a GE side by side Fridge. The crisper drawers keep getting so cold that it is feezing all the vegetables. We cleaned off the compressor (full of dust/lint) but it's still happening. Turned off the ice maker as we thought it could have been the culprit because there was a TON of frozen water down the side of the freezer.. We now think the water (ice) was a separate issue - someone didn't put the ice tray back correctly?
Look down at the bottom crisper and there should be an air control that lets more or less air in from the freezer section. close this control down so that most of the air stays in the freezer. some models may say meats(colder) and vegetables(warmer).
some models the control in the down position opens up the vent more allowing it to get colder and in the up position closes the vent down more allowing less cold air into the refrigerator. you can remove the crisper and experiment with the control.
