The paperclip is a security attachment which appears in the form of a pop-up menu. You can click on it to temporarily/permanently allow the site to be viewed undisturbed at your own risk. You can also simply click on the clise button to proceed.

How do I attach photos to yahoo mail?

First, the photo must be saved as a file you can open on your computer.

Next, open your Yahoo mail account and click Compose. When the new email screen opens, type in the recipients and a subject just like any other new email you want to send. At the bottom of the screen [next to the Send button] click on the paperclip icon. Then browse to the file you want to attach & click open.

After the file becomes attached, click Send.

How to get a stuck cd out of player

What is the model of your laptop? You can push a straightened paperclip thru the small pinhole on the front of the drive. This will force the tray to open. This is assuming the CD isn't damaged and therefore preventing the CD tray from opening.25311748-0nea3uom12o2wukkzuf30xpw-2-2.jpg

Manually open dvd tray

Look next to the DVD tray to find a small hole. Once you have found that hole use a small paper clip and straighten one part of the clip. Carefully insert that extended paperclip into the hole, if you meet resistance apply gradual pressure until the tray opens...if the tray does not open...Remove the paperclip end (straighten the paperclip again and reinsert the straight end of the paperclip straight into the hole. Once you meet resistance press gently again, if you feel the paperclip continue into the hole without bending, continue pushing until the try opens. This is the correct way to open a CD/DVD/Blu-ray tray with or without the power on.
If you need further assistance, please ask...

How could i send pictures to an another email address?

  • Begin the attachment process by opening a new e-mail message in the standard manner. Then point your mouse at the paperclip image on your toolbar. (This image is highlighted in orange on the illustration to the right.) Click on the paperclip.
  • Next, you will be greeted by the Attachments Dialog Box. Select Browse. Then navigate to the file you want to attach.
  • In this case we have chosen to attach the file "eMailMan.png". After making your selection, click on Open
  • The Attachments Dialog Box appears again, this time with the path to your desired file specified next to the "Browse" button. Next, you want to use this path to place a copy of your file into the e-mail. To do this click Attach.
  • You may have to wait for a period as long as a few minutes, depending on the speed of your connection and the size of the attached file. Do not do any other operations while the file is attaching. After the wait is over, the name of the attached file appears in the white space at the bottom of the Dialog Box. That completes the process. Click on Close and return to and send your e-mail. Remember, it is good practice both to provide a subject for your e-mail and also to include a message telling the recipient that a file is attached.

My dvd drive d wont open

There may be some backed up or locked up processes preventing the drive from opening. If you look at the drive, there will be a small hole on the face of the drive. This is the manual release.

Find a paperclip or piece of wire and push it into this hole. The drive will now pop open. Close it again and see if it will open normally.

Hope this helps, look forward to hearing back from you.

Dvd stuck in unit

Have you tried the manual release?

Be sure the power is off to the Computer before you do this!

There is a small hole just big enough for a straightened paperclip tofit in. You will want to straighten out a paperclip and slide it asstraight as possible into this hole until you feel some resistance. This is the locking mechanism of the drive. If you continue to applyfirm pressure to the paperclip, the drive should begin to open. It willunlatch, but not fully slide out. You should be able to grab the disktray and pull it open.

Because there is something stuck in there it will take more pressurethan usual to open the drive. I suggest finding an old CD or DVD driveand practicing on it to see where the hole is and how much pressure ittakes to open the drive.

Also, being a gateway, there are a bunch of plastic covers and doors onthe front of the case that may prevent you from seeing the manualrelease hole. You will probably have to take the front panel off thecomputer to find it.
