Is there a way to transfer songs from an Ipod classic into itunes in 2016.

iPod users will find that when they connect their iPod to computer, the computer will recognize their iPod but won't display the music file in the window. Actually, the music files are just hidden by the computer, and the users only need simple steps to unveil the music files. Then they are allowed to transfer music from iPod to iTunes.

1. Plug iPod into computer via USB cable, then the computer will show iPod in "Computer".
2. Go to "Tools > Folder Options", and then choose "View" in the pop-up dialog.
3. Check "Display hidden files and folders" in the drop-down menu.
Then you will find a folder called "iPod_Control".
4. Open that folder and you will get the "Music" folder which includes all of your iPod music files.

You are able to copy and paste the files from iPod to your computer, but you will find that the music files are saved in a random order. At this moment, you can launch iTunes, and go to "Add > Add Files to Library", and then add the music files into your iTunes library. iTunes will sort the music files by a certain order. Now, the music files you have chosen will be stored in iTunes.

How to add new mp3 songs

Install iTunes
Before you connect your iPod shuffle to your Mac or PC computer or use it, you must install the latest iTunes software.
2. Connect and Set Up your iPod shuffle Charge your battery by connecting it to an Apple iPod Power Adapter or connect your iPod to a high-power USB port —one that's located directly on your computer—to ensure that your computer charges your iPod battery. (If your computer doesn't seem to recognize your connected iPod , wait about 30 minutes to allow the iPod battery to charge before going further.)
3. Fill your iPod shuffle and iTunes with Music Once you finish the set up, iTunes will open. It will then either:
  • Automatically start filling your iPod with music from your iTunes library (if you set iTunes to automatically update your iPod)
OR
  • Allow you to pick and choose what music, audiobooks, and podcasts to add, if you opted to manually manage music on your iPod.
To manually add content, simply drag any file from your iTunes library or playlist to your iPod icon in the iTunes Source list. If you're using iTunes for the very first time, you'll need to add some music to iTunes first, such as songs from your own CDs or music already on your hard drive.
4. Disconnect your iPod shuffle Once you've got your music, audiobooks, and other files on your iPod, you're ready to enjoy it.
  • If you see an “OK to Disconnect” message on your iPod, simply disconnect it from your computer.
  • If you see a “Do Not Disconnect” message, click the eject icon that appears next to your iPod icon in the iTunes Source list and then disconnect your iPod from your computer when you see the “OK to Disconnect” message.
  • Disconnecting my iPod shuffle
5. Play your iPod shuffle Now you’re ready to enjoy your iPod.

I guess I'm a bit technically challenged. I

if the music is downloaded onto your computer it should be able to be imported into the iTunes library. just go to file in the upper left hand corner in the iTunes library and in the down menu go to add file to library, or add folder, whichever your music is in. then if the music shows in the iTunes library plug in your iPod and see if it shows up in the iTunes menu. if it does click on the icon and in the bottom right hand corner click sync. good luck!

iTunes is free and is the best software available for use with iPods. Below I have included several intruction (guides) for you just in case you are a new user and need the information. If you have any difficulties past here please do let me know. I have a well of information on iTunes/iPods. :)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adding content on your computer to iTunes
iTunes lets you add digital audio and video files on your computer directly to your iTunes library. You can add audio files that are in AAC, MP3, WAV, AIFF, Apple Lossless, or Audible.com (.aa) format. If you have unprotected WMA content, iTunes for Windows can convert these files to one of these formats. Video content in QuickTime or MPEG-4 format can also be added to iTunes. To learn how to add these files to iTunes follow the steps below.
Open iTunes From the File menu, choose one of the following choices: Mac Add to Library Windows Add File to Library Add Folder to Library Navigate to and select the file or folder that you want to add If iTunes is set to "Copy files to the iTunes Music folder when adding to library", iTunes will copy all content that is added to the iTunes library to the iTunes Music folder. Then adjust this setting or change the location of this folder, go to the Advanced tab in iTunes preferences.

Hi,
First, you should use itunes for you iPod. I know that there are other programs that can let you load music on it, but you should use iTune, Really.

1. You should first download iTunes. It is free.

2. Next. Load your music into iTunes. Do all of this BEFORE you plug your iPod into the computer.

3. Connect your iPod to the computer. Use a fast USB port. These are usually located on the back of the computer.

4. Your iPod should appear in the iTune pane on the left side. You should be able to see a set of 'tabs' that you can click. The first one is about your iPod.

5. At this point, you can click on the music tab to tell the computer to load what to load into the iPod. Click 'sync' to load your music.

6. When the syncing is complete, you will see that notice above in iTunes. Click the arrow next to the iPod picture in the iTunes pane to discharge the iPod. The iPod picture will disappear. Make sure that you also safely release the iPod in the task bar at the bottom of the computer. You will need to click on a green icon that looks like a plug and select 'safely remove storage device'. Wait until the computer tells you it is safe to disconnect it. Then disconnect.

Hope that helps.
