Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Acer One locks up when I try to hibernate the computer.

I would suggest doing a chkdsk and possibly a Defrag to see if this remedies the situation. In order to do this try the following

Go to Start>click on my computer>right click c: and hit properties.

go to tools and click "check now"

The defrag option is in the same section.

Please also specify which OS you are using so as to provide more specific support.

Good Luck!

Running windows xp home addition. tried d fragging pop up said i needed to run chkdsk /f. tried that and it poped up for less than a second and went away. still cannot run defrag pgm

reboot into safe mode. You can kill the power to the PC without shutting down. When you turn it back on it will ask you a few boot option, select safe mode, then try the defrag.
