Hi.

From description you have a faulty key control board. Do the steps below before replacing the part.

First remove batteries from remote, to ensure that the remote is not causing the problem.

As second step contact Funai that builds Emersons and ask a firmware update (if available) for this model, then perform the firmware update. Their number is 1 800 605 8457, or the number listed on the user manual.

If no update is available, test and replace the key controller board. The board is tested reading Ohms with multimeter on board contacts.

Here the part for the model listed: Emerson BA8AF0F01022-3 Key Control Board

Here all parts for the model listed : Emerson LC320EM9

I have pulled the batteries out, and put fresh ones in it. The tv behaves the same with or with out batteries in the remote.

In that case the problem is likely the key controller board. Contact first the manufacturer and follow the indications given on my previous comment.

I have a 42inch sharp aquos LCD tv and there is no power. The power button keeps blinking. There is no picture and sound. What is the fix to this problem.

Power problem are cause by many reasons, i.e Power supply circuit, Lamp driver circuit and most often the TV detects an error cause by power surges. To protect TV from further damage most LCD TV have protection circuit built internally. If this is the reason of your LCD TV not powering On, an error data must be reset back to zero.
To change data you will need to access the service mode and change the value of lamp error code to zero (0). Entering service mode requires a trained TV technician. Changing data can cause more problem to your television. If you are not qualified to service your television, please do not go to service menu codes. Moreover below are the process, pls do so at your own risk.
* Unplug the TV * Press and hold the {VOL -} + {CH+} buttons located on LCD TV unit (not in remote control) Note: If above didn't work, alternately use (VOL -) + (TV/AV input) buttons located on LCD TV unit (not in remote control) * While holding the above buttons, plug in the TV. * The TV will turn on with the "K" or "K123" appears om screen. * Use {CH+} {CH -} buttons to go and display the service menu. Note: If above didn't work, alternately use (VOL -) + (CH -) buttons. * Search for "LAMP ERROR menu" from the displayed service menu by using "up or Down cursor" from remote control, or alternatively use "CH - or CH+ to select "LAMP ERROR" * change it to zero (0) value, using {VOL+} or (VOL -) on remote control. * Turn the set off to exit the Service Menu.

How do you reboot and unlock tv

Hello

Most RCA sets use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The code reset is different depending on the model. Try each number until you find the one that works for you.

  1. Hold down the MENU button on the remote and VOLUME DOWN button on the TV it's self at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked
  2. Hold down the 0 (zero) button on the remote and the VOLUME DOWN button on the TV itself at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked
  3. Hold down the MENU button on the front of the TV and the TV button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. 4- Hold down GO BACK button on the remote and MENU button on the front of the TV at the same time for at least 4 seconds.
  4. Hold down EJECT button on the front of the TV set and the MENU button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. Depending on the model, one of the methods should unlock the V-chip. Now, if desired, you can change the settings on the V-chip by going to the MENU and going to PARENTAL CONTROLS, or on some sets, going to MENU and then going to TV SETUP, then to V-CHIP SET.

Hello! I bought a LG 32-inch LCD (32 inch )

My best advice would be to call out your LG service repair engineer, it is most likely the current software in the TV is of an older version & will need to be re-programmed which an engineer should be able to check. This should cure the menu problem.

Volume goes down to 0 and the menu goes on and off.

A bad connection on the small signal board may be the problem! Have a Tech check this connection, it may be to tight due to the heat shrink tube. Have them peel it back to reduce the strain! Should work then!

Hum in sound volume

It could be a few things. The first thing you want to look at is make sure that the microphone is muted in the mixer controls of your audio cards. These settings are located in the control panel. If you need the mic, look under the advanced settings under it and disable the 20 db option for it.

If that doesn't work I have a few other ideas.
