Question about Frigidaire Washing Machines
I have a FLEB43RGS3 washer/dryer. The washer and dryer were working fine up to a few minutes ago. Now the washer is working but the dryer will not start. The drum spins easily by hand and when I hold the start button over, I can hear the timer start to run. Only the motor is not working. What can I check?

SOURCE: washer won't spin or agitate
On this model the motor turns one way for spin and the other for agitation. This action is controlled by a thrust bearing located just undernieth the plastic cap on the center pully. Many people are thrown off thinking a transmission problem when it's actually this thrust bearing kit. However, it could be the trans. If so you have a 5 year warranty on it, part only. There is also a number of service flashes on this model including: snubber kit, flash number 26-756, which has to do with vibration during spin. Things you want to make sure of is that the pump is not seized up, leakage from the center tub on to the bearing and brake. You may want to call Maytag and inquire about the service flashes on this model, you could be covered. Other than that my guess without seeing it would be the thrust bearing kit, part number 12500036. Not a bad job, the kit comes with instructions. The hardest part is getting that last washer on. SOURCE: Drum Does Not Spin
We had the same problem on a 7-yr. old WFK02401 washer that had been used daily for 7 years. Bosch's approved repair people quoted us $350 for installing a new motor. In fact, all it needed - knock wood - was new motor brushes, for which I paid all of $45, including shipping (or cheaper, if I'd ordered directly from Bosch.) To replace these requires a half-inch wrench and a bit of confidence and common sense. I won't go into all the details, here, except to say that you need to remove just two bolts, unattach the bundle of wires strapped to the motor housing, take out the motor, replace the brushes, and put back the motor. There may be a problem with one of the control modules in the machine - electronics that oversee the washing cycle and turn the motor and other items on and off during same - in which case you may want to find a repair person. I just learned that there is a circuit diagram pasted under the machine's top cover; it includes some resistance values (ohms) that can help with troubleshooting, I believe. Bosch's own repair/service people - third-parties, all of them - are not going to want to replace brushes; they make more money doing entire motors, I imagine. Also, they do not like it when a man watches them work or worse, when a woman (aka my wife) asks them smart questions. They are used to having their way with slightly intimidated and ignorant females - trust us, and pay us. But that's another story.

SOURCE: Washer/Dryer is not spinning
ngfam1 At your service!
Sometimes this can happen when the connector from the transmission to the drive of the agitator is worn and needs to be replaced.Similar to the drive shaft of a rear wheel drive v-8 car!
Could make this sound first, like a knock, knock, knock or klack, klack, klack
OR,SOMETIMES JUST NO SOUND AT ALL AND JUST NOT CONNECTED FROM THE TRANSMISSION TO DRIVE THE ROTATION OF THE TUB!
This means you need parts! and service!
How old is the washer if it is 10 years old or more I recommend being prudish about investing a lot of money in to it!
The newer models are so much more energy efficient, that they save you water, gas or electricity And detergent too!
They can pay for them selves in energy savings in a few years!
If so here is a good company that's found nation wide.
A&E Factory Service
A&E has schedulers available to take appointments 24/7
And they do warranty work too, for most manufactures!
You will be fine
