Question about Computers & Internet

Knowledge of the WEP key is necessary to USE a wireless connection. Knowledge of the user name and password is necessary to ADMINISTER the wireless router, two different things. If you try to establish a browser connection to 192.168.1.1 (or whatever address your router uses) it will always ask you for the admin name and password. This is true of all routers, not just yours. The factory default values for the WNR1000 are "admin" and "password".
