all of the things listed below can cause a PC to lock-up:

  • Windows 95/98 instability

dear,

check the num lock or caps lock...may be its the reason...

otherwise, if the above thing is confirmed to be correct then check the keyboard itself. May be its missing some keys

Won't start up, blue lock indicator is lit up on upper right


try alt F9 to get into safe mode when you start your computer. then go to control panel and click on user accts and change the password. There teaching kids computers in school now days and your child may , MAY mind you have tried to lock you out of the computer.

There is a computer under the glove compartment that controls the locking system in your car that also works with the alarm system in your car and if that computer is not working properly that is the reason why. If that computer registers that the car was not open properly that it will deactivate the starter

Some letters are locked


From the question I can assume that you are using a laptop computer. The reason that his happens is because you have hit Num Lock thus enabling the numerical terms in place of your alphabetic ones. The reason that they overlap the keys is that laptops are compact and cannot hold their own number pad, so they simply make it a toggle on/off thing for people who like using the pad version rather than the lengthwise one above the normal letter keys. Hope this helps!

find button with lock emblem underneath hold in for 3-5 sec should release control panel lock may be no good reason but they have been known to lock because they want too remember your dealing with a computer any random signal may cause this if all elese unplug for 20-30 min and retry
