When i try to connect my lap top to the wireless router it asj for a username password and logon domain

I think the operating system on your computer is Windows VISTA. You network must be secured. Make sure that you have all the wireless settings of the router. if you don't know the wireless settings of the router then you will need to open the set up page of the router and check the wireless settings .
You are getting the message about user name and password and domain name.
In this case you will need to add the wireless network manually.

I want to secure my Belkin 'n' wireless router . I am running Windos XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Mac OS Snow Leopard. How can I do this?

connect any one of the computers to the router with a ethernet cable. open internet explorer, clear out the address bar on the top, and type 192.168.2.1. when u hit enter, u'll get a router set up utility. in this page u'll have an option -security- below "wireless". when u click security, it'll ask for a password, leave it blank and hit submit. on the next window, choose the option WPA/WP2, then u'll have some more options, look for PASSWORD(PSK).. put in a password which should be 8 to 63 characters long, its case sensitive. click on apply changes.

Can't connect to my wireless.

You don't have a domain at home. When are you being asked this, when you log in to the computer or when you log in to the Dlink?
If it is in the Wireless settings, ignore it.
If you did have a domain setting, it would be visible by right-clicking on My Computer and looking at Properties, Computer Name.you should find it at the bottom right of the window.
