Question about Dell Dimension 3100 PC Desktop
My Dell desktop does not recognize the D drive which is where I put my CD's in. So I can't put any CD or DVD in because it does not recognize the drive.
With any computer this is a question that must be answered by those that provide the driver software. Like the number above (Dimension 3100) you should begin your search here=> Dimension 3100 Drivers that is if you have not altered the driver by putting a different player in the slot. What you need to do is test the drive using the Dell diagnostics. The procedure can be found in the CD/DVD FAQ. Run the "read test". You'll need to insert various disc types during the test.
