Make sure that the keys are actually locked. If you
attempt to unlock a keypad that is not locked, nothing will happen. Look
on the phone's screen for the key icon that indicates the keypad is
locked. If you try to press any of the keys and the word "Unlock"
appears on the screen, your keypad is definitely locked. If you do not
see the indicator but are unable to use the keypad of your Nokia 6085,
your battery could be dead, so try recharging it and then see if the
Enter the unlock sequence. If the key indicator
appears on your screen, you need to enter a simple sequence of keys to
get the keypad working again. For the Nokia 6085, select Unlock and then
quickly press the * key. If you wait more than 1.5 seconds to press the
* key after selecting Unlock, it will not unfreeze the keys so make
sure you enter the sequence very quickly.
Turn off the automatic keyguard. If you are tired of
having to unfreeze the keys every time you want to make a call, you can
program the Nokia 6085 to always remain unlocked. In the menu, go to
Settings, then select Phone, then select Automatic Keyguard and choose
The phone Freeze problem. Your phone has gotten hard-locked; it will not accept any unlock codes. This problem can only be caused by improper unlocking. Basically this happens if you or someone else has already entered 5 wrong unlock codes on your phone. You can get the unfreeze code, NCK code and SPCK code from third party. After unfreeze your phone, you have to enter the NCK code to unlock and use it with any gsm network in the world. i will suggest the website Unlock-Zone.com which is doing good service .....you can approach this website
My advice is to download the latest firmware from Nokia website (which is version PR1.2) and install it through the USB cable provided to you. If this is something you can not personally do, please go to an authorised nokia service point and have this done for you. They should NOT charge you but ask about that before.
For the battery removal issue, there is a way to bypass this process. Please press the power on/off switch for about 10 seconds.
normally the device will unfreeze and go off without having to remove the battery. wait a few seconds and then you should be able to switch it on again.
