Question about Dell Latitude E5500 Laptop

1 Answer

Laptop Dell latitude E5500, when I press a key, it prints a chain of character. I tried to install XP again, but this happens also in the bios mode. Is it a virus? How can I clean it, or how I can restart my laptop with initial configuration? Thanks.

If the same problem happens in the BIOS there is a possibility that its the keyboad might have sitcky keys if there was anything liquid that might have been spilled on it that made it happen. of if you want to set it to facotry settings you can do PC restore try checking the instruction from this link http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/late5400/en/qrg/qrg_en.pdf

How do I enable bluetooth on my latitude E5500?

The best solution is to use your Service Tag number located underneath your Dell Latitude E5500 and go to http://support.dell.com/. By keying in your Service Tag number, or using the Detect My Product button the website should tell you what hardware is installed in your Laptop.

Another option is to go to the BIOS (Reboot your laptop and Press F1) to look through the settings for Bluetooth.

If my memory serves me, these models could support Bluetooth but did not include the Bluetooth module. The best bet is to go to the website listed above and check to see what Dell says you have.

Latitude - E5500 Laptop Computer ( 2.26GHz, MB, GB) (blcwdhp_3) PC Notebook: how do i restart to factoru condition my dell e550...

Pressing Ctrl + F11 should resolved the issue if the restore partition still exists in functioning condition on the hard drive. Seeing as most D600s are off-lease machines on their fourth or fifth year by now, I'd say the chances of the aforementioned partition existing, not to mention working, are slim. You will probably have to re-install XP on your own. If you already have an XP installation. Once you installed XP on your computer, all drivers are available at Dell's website.

Best of luck.
