It is almost certainly the LCD inverter which is the cause of your issue. It ism ore common for the inverter to develop a fault than a backlight bulb on the LCD (I used to work in a Toshiba repair centre).
Replacing the inverter should be simple, just make sure the unit is powered off with the battery removed so you don't get an electric shock.
Hope this helps,

Screen flickers

Does it flicker on an external screen? If it does you have a GPU issue, if not the screen/invertor is probably faulty.

Vertical lines on my screen

If after rebooting, they are still there, try an external screen. If the fault shows up on both, you have a GPU issue, if not you have a screen issue.

My laptop is having a grey vertical line.

That sounds like the screen is failing. You can check it by plugging your laptop into an external screen. If the problem is still there, the laptop has a fault, if it has gone, your screen is faulty.

My toshiba Satellite P35-S609 started not charging. The charge connector seemed not working. I gave it for repair, and the person told that one module which connected the charge chord to the mother board...

Seems a bit odd that the inverter would fail immediately after a repair job that involved the power jack since the inverter is built into the screen housing or lid leaving only a single connector to disconnect then reconnect (aside from the wifi antenna wires) If it is a back-light you can shine a flashlight on the screen in a darkened room and you should see faint images. Use an external monitor to narrow it down to an inverter or perhaps a plug that had not been properly inserted (white one coming from the screen, center above the keyboard) If the external monitor does work then the problem most likely exists after that white connector if it has been inserted properly and has not been otherwise damaged during the repair process previously undertaken. Good Luck!

Half of screen flickering

Yes, the probability is that either the circuitry that drives the screen, or the screen itself is on the verge of failing. It is also remotely possible that the backlight is failing. In either case, the likelihood is that a screen replacement is in order. Take it to a computer shop that specializes in Laptop repairs - or call Computer Geeks.

Sounds like you have diagnosed your own problem to me. Its not the video card or you wouldn't be able to use the monitor, so it has to be a bad switch. If you can remove the bezel covering the switch you my be able to spray some contact cleaner into the switch and get it working again. Removal of most bezels starts with removing the screws on the back side of the lid hinges and lifting the bezell until it un-snaps from the housing.
Good luck. let us know how you make out.
