Its the "over heat warning alarm" check both the inlet vents and the out let vents they must be free of obstruction's the bryer must be able to breath freely,,,if this dont fix it you will need to change the thermal censor in the dryer

Dryer LG 1100 shuts off after a few minutes. If you set it for 54 minutes, you check if after 5 minutes it reads 14 minthen in 5 minutes it starts cooling down. The clothes are still wet.

Clean your lint filter, and clean the entire line vent from the dryer to the outside export port, also look inside the dryer vent hook up for obstructions and remove any lint. Keeping these parts lint free will save you energy and also drying time and maintenance repairs. My dryer is 18 years old.

My Kenmore Elite HE4 dryer keeps shutting off after a few minutes.

are u saying it shuts down or just stops heating? if it shuts down u may have bad motor windings and or brushes and motor is burning out if its stops heating that is usually due to bad moister sensor, cycling thermostat ( which would not usually shut appliance off though), short in heating element, defective hi limit thermostat etc and of course u already said u cleaned lint and ducts? including the blower? if its blocked with lint u have a shut off issue

What causes my dryer to stop after 20 minutes?

Sounds like a possible motor over heating. The main motor has a heat safety built in that shuts it off if it gets too hot. It will restart once it cools off some. Over heating could be from excessive lint around the motor or even from a blocked vent pipe. All you can do is clean it well and check again. If it still shuts off the motor will need replaced.

Comes on, then shuts off after a few minutes. cleaned the lint catcher and the back of dryer.

Depending on the age of the dryer, you could have the main motor going bad. When the motor isn't working properly it will run for a while and then it gets hot and since it has an internal heat safety it shuts off, It won't start again usually for about 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour after it cools back down.

Dryer heats and then shuts off

know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your dryer. If you have to wait for it to cool down before it will start again, this is an indication of the motor overheating and shutting off on the motor thermal overload. This can be caused by the motor being covered in lint or a low voltage supply to the motor. Check and clean the motor of lint and see if it runs normally.

Kenmore Gas Dryer Gets Hot, Shuts Off Early in Cycle

Sounds like a faulty high limit or cycling thermostat. The thermostat tells the dryer to heat until the interior of the dryer reaches a certain temp. It should be mounted on the exhause duct inside the back of the dryer. It should look something like the one in the picture:

Hope this helped and best wishes.

Cutting out after a few minutes

Is the water supply (for supplying cooling water to the condenser) switched on? If not, there's no real mechanism for removing heat from the machine, and it might reasonably be expected to shut itself down. Once you've got water going to the inlet hose, you might check that the solenoid valve which shuts the water off when the machine is turned off hasn't failed, and that the jet through which the water squirts into the condenser (if that's separate in this model) isn't blocked.
