Question about Sony SLV-D360P DVD Player/VCR
If your dvd player did not turn on, then,it is very possible the internal fuse burnt out. If not the fuse, then possibly the power supply burnt out.
You can test the power supply with a voltmeter.

Normally if the fuse has failed the protection has worked because there is a short inthe cirrcuit. As said earlier you will need tto check for short in your poweer supply unit, if so replace the drive, the capacitor or the rectifier. It can also be the surge protector which is found near to the AC input. If you have power at the low tension side for the cirrcuits and still there is no display , then it is possible that the +5 volt for the micro processor is basent or if present the processor board has a malfuntion. you will have to check the oscillation on the crystal and come to a conclusion. replace the main boarrd only if the price is feasible.Helpful? Good day
