Question about Radio Flyer Classic Red 12" Dual Deck Tricycle 33

1 Answer

The clamp for the handle bars of the Radio Flyer Tricycle do not keep the handle bars aligned correctly. As the child turns the handle bars to steer, the handle bars become misaligned. Any way to solve this?

The clamp is far to loos if you can do the bolt up a bit more that will help if you can becouse there is no more thred left on it,,,undo the bolt and put a washer on the bolt under the nut head and do it up tight again if this still dont work the only other thing you could try is undo the bolt that holds the bars on and pull out the bars,,rap some sticky tape around the shaft and push the bars back into the bike then do the nut and bolt up to pinsh the bars up tight,,,

How do I fix the parent steer bar on the radio flyer model 48 trike?

I would suggest finding someone who is accustomed to fixing metal equipment. There's nothing special about the trike that requires specific tools or knowledge.

Yerf Dog Tricycle needs bearing.

not sure who sells the bearings, but i just fixed my little girls yerf-dog trike using BB's out of my daisy. they would only work on the bottom of the forks and was easy to do first putting new grease in the frame and sticking the BB's in to the bearing cuppling then sliding the forks in. good luck

The steering bar is not even with handle bar. The child's handle bar is straight, but the push bar will then be crooked to the right.

I put some packing tape around the bar to where the handle bar fits. It is holding for now, i don't know how long it would stay :)

We purchased a Radio Flyer Stroll and Go but during assembly the front wheel was put on but was put on 90 degrees the wrong way. We are not able to get the wheel off so we can correct the wheel.

Where you inserted the handle bars into the bearing assembly on the frame there is a fork clamp you had to tighten to secure the handle bars and front fork. Loosen this and you should be able to disassemble the front end. While reassembling be sure the you line up the notches on the fork with the grooves in the bearing assembly and that the handle bars are properly aligned before tightening the fork clamp.

Tricycle loose handle bars.

You need to install a shim so the bolt has more to clamp on. To do this, loosen the bolt you have been tightening enough that you can pull the handlebars out, then about 3 or 4 more turns. Get an empty soda can and with a pair of scissors, stab into the side of the can near the bottom and cut off the bottom end. Then cut about 2 inches up and cut around the can so you have a roughly 2 by 5 inch strip of aluminum. This is your shim (you may have to trim some length if it doesn't fit). Wrap it around the bottom part of the handlebars where it will go back into the part where the bolt is. Make sure you wrap it tight or it will be hard to put in. Slide the handle bar with the shim on it back into the other tube and tighten the bolt. The end.
