Try to check the fuse sometimes depending on the dryer the fuse will go out and stop all heat if that is the case all you have to do is replace the Dryer fuse

Cleaned fan for laptop, now screen does not show anything

Depending on the make/model the video cable on a laptop can be a bit tricky to seat properly. Just unplug and reseat the cable - usually there is a pretty definite feel when it seats fully. It's unusual for laptops to have dip switches any more as most settings are now handled in BIOS.

First check the connection at the switch. I have found alot of the time the switch has been the prob. 2nd,the selinoid[electric] at the transfer case may need to be taken apart and cleaned if it has not been used for a while...hope this helps.

My refrigerator has unusually high temp... 77 degrees and counting.. nothing unusual in the last 36 hours. may have started to creep up yesterday. the freezer seems to be working fine and nothing is...

The most common cause of inefficient refrigeration is dirty condenser coils or a defective condenser fan (the fan at the bottom of the refrigerator that pulls air across the coils).

Try the free fix first... Clean the coils. And while you've got the panel off, see if the fan's running.

Hope this helps.

Microwave doesn't heat anything

Sounds like the magnetron has failed. This is the component that produces the microwaves that heats the food.

The cost of the magnetron is about 95% of the cost of a microwave oven. Most people don't, for this reason, replace the magnetron, they replace the whole oven which is probably what you will end up doing.

There is a possibility that the circuit that provides power to the magnetron is faulty and you need to take it apart, find the proper electrical leads and test them with a volt meter. To do this you have to remove it from its mounting and take it apart. It is a fairly lengthy process however.

Fan starts runnung fast and everything is frozen

Overheating. Try using canned air and blowing out vents. If you are comfortable with it, take the laptop apart and clean it out. If not, contact a local computer shop that can do it for you. If cleaning doesn't do it, the CPU heatsink will need reseated or the CPU will need replaced.

Overheating problem, with fan stopping randomly

If it's overheating it's possible that either there's a problem with the fan, or the fan/heatsink is clogged with dust. If you know how to open up the laptop you can do that and use a can of compressed air to clean it out which may solve the problem. If not you'll have to replace the fan.
