Hi,
water is running straight out - 8b08830.jpg
Water siphoning out the drain line
If the water is continues to fill and water is draining while it is filling or agitating, Check the height of the stand pipe. It should be about 36" above the floor. If the height is correct it may need to have an anti-siphoning valve installed into the drain line.

Take care

HI. This is,essentially, a siphoning issue. The drain hose might be too low. Make sure the drain hose is at least three feet above the floor. Make these adjustments, asap. This should correct the issue.

There are no other causes for this. This is not an electrical issue or a mechanical issue. This type of problem is caused by an installation problem in the drain hose. Check to see if the drain hose is stuck way down the standpipe behind the washer. It should only be stuck down about 8" into this pipe. Otherwise it can cause the siphoning that you are experiencing. If the top of the stand pipe is taped shut so that it is air tight, you can also experience the siphoning as well.

If you are draining the washer to a sink, the sink must be at least 39" high. If you are draining the washer directly into the yard or a floor drain of your home, an inadequate siphon break in the drain hose can also cause siphoning. This is gravity related. Check the hose as stated above and measurements with a tape measure.

There are additional possibilities, but i will need your model number to make sure your pump has a flapper. If this is the case, the flapper may be worn, thus, allowing water to pass through during the filling process, or the lever which activates the flapper may not be getting pushed back
    into place after pump out.

Post the entire model number, asap.

ModelWJRE555OH1WW. MACHINE GOING STRAIGHT TO WASH INSTEAD OF FILL UP WITH WATER.

Remove the front panel and check for a pinched water level tube..
OR
the air dome on the side of the washer is clogged with soap.
OR
The water level switch is bad.
Open the control console to find a service manual to show how to open the machine and service the parts.

HI, you have a combination issue. the Water fill level pressure switch and, the cycle selector switch are both damaged and, they should be replaced. the total cost of these switches will run you about $90.00.

We recommend the hands of a skilled service tech when repairing this type of electrical issue.

Washer does not fill with water

The problem is most likely that your drain valve is defective. If this happens, the water will pump out instead of circulating. There may also be something stuck in the drain valve causing it to stay open.

If you need more help, post a comment.

Thanks,

I am trying to fill the washer to do a load of laundry but the water is coming out the back of the washer instead what should I do

Open the washer and make sure the tube is not sitting forward .If not then you will have to lift the top of washer up and cheak for leaking hose. Also when washer is filling look with flashlight behind it to see if there is a leak there.

Washer will not fill with water

I solved the identical issue that I was having with my washer, maybe it will help you: I opened the front panel to the washer and found a clear plastic line running down the inside; it had become clogged. Could tell, because disconnecting the line caused the washer to function. Removed clog and it seems to run fine now.

Calypso - water goes straight to drain hose-not drum

the hose may still be filled from last cycle. try to put machine in final spin mode where all water from previous wash will be spun out the drain hose. once a siphon is started it can only be stopped by introducing air into the drain hose.
