Question about Toshiba Computers & Internet
This was a common problem on this range of laptops. It generally means the webcam or the webcam cable is faulty and needs to be replaced. The only way to tell which is faulty is to try one, and in rare cases both may be faulty.
Before you try replacing the webcam you could try updating the driver, to do this you need to goto the manufacturers website, find
their support section and there should be a list of drivers for your specific
machine. I have a list of links

If the driver update fails then look on ebay for a webcam and cable for your laptop. Installing can be tricky as you need to remove your LCD bezel and laptop top cover as the webcam connects to the system board.
