Sprayer spits- Is this a water sprayer of some sort, hand held model or a sprinkler?

Or, is it a paint gun?

Anyway, if either spits, the control may not be rotated to an optimal spray pattern.

Feel free to get back to me on this.

Gilmour Manufacturing has its factory in Somerset, PA, my home town.

a problem that is quite common on these and other brand sprayers is dirt or grit gets into the spray head.

Unscrew the spray head and try to backflush it with hose water to dislodge any sediment in there.

Also, try to spray without the head so that it will flush out any sediment in the line.

Same thing happened to me last year to my lawn and garden sprayer.

    Hope this helps.

So, it should take only a few minutes to dislodge any dirt or grime or sediment in the system with a water hose's flow.

Also, you might try 'draining' the line after disconnecting it from the tank.

    Hope this helps.

After the lines are cleaned out with fresh water, then try to spray with fresh water and then it should work with your liquid fertilizer or herbicide without a problem.

Another problem that people overlook is leaving the herbicide or fertilizer in the tank over the winter.

Please don't do this, as it can gum up the nozzle tip.

Instructions state that it should be stored without any fluid in the tank over the winter time.

    Have a good day.

I have a Kraft tool texture sprayer 500 model, I have noticed lately that the oil is slowly syponing out of the holding tank and its running into the air hose so when I turn it on it spits out oil lef

As the hopper gun does not use oil, you are either spraying an oil based material which is separating in the hopper, or you are using a compressor that is leaving oil in the airline; this could happen if the compressor is worn and oil is leaking past the piston into the air.

most paint spray guns require the paint to be thinned this may be the cause of the spitting

Shoots drips

Most airless spray guns spit a bit when you pull or release the trigger because the paint between the spray tip and the paint valve is under pressure but not enough to atomise the paint. If you increase the pressure you may reduce the spit to a point when you don't notice it. A blocked filter could slow the paint getting through to the tip cause lower pressure.

95 chevy cavalier and it has a constant miss but also when it is wet outside, it seems to spit and sputter more

How long has it been since you've tuned it up. You may have some bad spots on your plug wires which would make explain it being worse when it is wet as moisture would make the problem worse. Examine your plug wires closely for damage and signs of arcing. You can take a little hand sprayer and mist your wires with water to try to duplicate the problem and sometimes you will hear or even see an arc from the wires. It will make a snapping noise.

Sprayer spits while spraying

When that happens it is usually because you have dirt in the nozzle or it has not been clened properly.

Halo main suction motor will not come on

Used my Steam Vac twice and now there is no suction where the unit should be picking up the water layed down from the sprayer. I've readjusted the collection tank, took the lid off and made sure the side clips were snug and cliped against the tank, but still no suction. I don't hear any unusual noises, the handle lays down, water spits out, it just has lost suction. Any suggestions? With Appreciation, -kb

(Tilted) Plasmaire spits water into room....

What your problem is is that water coming back into your face is condesation. Appearently there is a clog preventing your condensation water from draining out the back side of the a/c You can remove the a/c from it's sleeve, take it outside and with a pump sprayer (Type used for spraying insecticide) filled with water spray around the base of the a/c where the condensor coil sits (you should see a small drain channel in this area) If this drain channel is clogged water will back up and the squirrel cage will pick it up throwing it out into the house.. Good Luck on your repairs

Sprayer is spitting instead of spraying, why?

Either the fluid you are attempting to spray is too thick or the little holes in the spray head are partially clogged. Begin by running some small copper wire thru each hole to unclog it and see if that solves your problem. If not, filter the liquid you want to spray and dilute it as needed.
