Panel is dark and won't light. Camer still

if red light blink 5 times then panel is defective so please replace the panel in this case

Contact your insurance company and make a claim. Lightning damage to electronics like that is hard to repair.

Hi, have you tried pressing the TV button that is under the On/Off button on top right hand side of remote control? Some times its possible to accidently press the DVD or VCR controls and this by-passes the TV as a remote?
Another cause can be a poor or low battery in the remote itself. If you have no luck let me know & we can try some more things, however, I have heard that The On/Off Switch on the TV can be a problem. Goodluck, Jon..

For the Elite (HE) machines:

Press 'STOP' twice, press 'POWER', choose a wash cycle (such as 'NORMAL'), select wash options (water temp), press 'START' to finish the reset sequence.

Other Kemore electronic washers:

Unplug the machine for a minute, plug it in. Press 'PAUSE/CANCEL' twice.

in examining your question here about going from black to white with no picture at all would thorw the backlight and inverters out of the question. Things to check here:

1. Decoder board
2. LCD panel itself

I have seen where a lcd whent dark because of a back light. but from dark to light and no picture leads me to beleave you have a bad lcd .

I hope this gives you some idea your going to need to have a repair shop fix it ether way or buy a new tv in this case. I do not see this as a common problem in sony bravia lines.
