Hi,

I'm unable to modify any settings relating to my router.

Have you been attempting this while connected via network cable or WiFi? I recommend going the hardwired route for this, as you may be accessing a neighbor's router or are dealing with a combination of interference and distance while trying to maintain a connection via WiFi. Most of these devices provide a reset button which will restore the device to a default factory configuration. Before doing this, you should download any setup wizard or documentation for the router. You may also want to see if there is an updated firmware that solves this problem (or others) for you. Contact the manufacturer's website to obtain this information before you perform a reset.

How do i change my router channel

1. Connect the Linksys router to your computer with a Cat5 cable. To do so, connect the Cat5 cable to the LAN port on the back of the modem. Connect the other end of the cable to the Ethernet port on the computer. This allows you to access the Graphic User Interface (GUI) for the router.
2. Launch an Internet browser and enter "192.168.0.1" (without quotes) into the address field. Press "Enter" on the keyboard to load the GUI.
3. Enter "admin" into the username and leave the password blank. Press "Enter" on the keyboard to load the GUI settings. If you have changed the default username and password, enter this information instead of the default.
4. Access the "Wireless" tab and then select your desired channel in the drop-down box net to " Wireless Channel."
5. Click on "Save Settings" to save the router's updated channel settings.

White Screen - Unable to See Desktop GUI.

Two separate problems, sounded like..

White screen? If external video is okay then it's likely (1) a bad screen, or (2) a disconnected video cable.

If the system shuts down, I'd check the fan - if the fan is reasonably clean and running, then it's probably a bad motherboard.

Getplus (r) error and unable to load GUI

That getPLUS error is from the updater that came with an adobe software. try uninstalling it if you find it in Add/Remove Programs and then in mozilla, uninstall or disable any plug-in named getPlus. then don't download getPLUS software anymore.

also, download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.
