Mine would sometimes boot w. no display, other times it would lose display at random and stay out until I did a hard reboot. I thought maybe bad video card but... was bad stick of RAM. It would throw all kinds of system errors and every so often it would kill csrss.exe (I think) and bammo - no display. Pull RAM sticks if you can and see of one is bad.

You need to plug in your CPU fan. The CPU fan is VERY important in that it constantly cools your processor, making sure your computer doesn't over heat. If the computer runs and the fan isn't running, the CPU will over heat and cost you hundreds of dollars.
Turn off the power Unplug your computer Open up the case of your computer Find your CPU fan Find the cord coming from it Find the plug on your motherboard labeled CPU fan Plug it in there Plug your computer back in Turn it on

Check the monitor's video cable and power cable. Is the power light ON?
The monitor may be faulty. Try another monitor on your Acer to determine if the video card is functioning correctly.

Hi
With that scenario i would recommend you check the front panel assembly where the power button is located and also have you tried to reset the CMOS from the motherboard.

My cpu will not turn on at all after being disconnected in order to set it up in another part of the room.

Try the AC power cord connection where it plugs in to the computer power supply on the back of the tower. The cord often can be loose in the socket, looking like it's connected but not making contact. Also be sure the new outlet where you have the computer plugged in has power. It may have a switch controlling it. It's unlikely there's anything internally wrong with the computer since all you did was move it, so you'll probably find it's just not getting power.

SMPS Got burnt out, so i replaced the SMPS! After replacing without turning on the CPU, CPU Fan Starts running & HDD LED GLOWS!! no display on screen, can not turn on the system nor switch off!!

If you are not getting display then please follow the simple steps and fix your problems.
  • First of all check the power cord and monitor cable is attached properly or not,if not then fix that.
  • Then after check the video card if it is working or not you can check this by swapping it.
  • Then if you are getting the problem carry on with the next steps,
  • Open the cabinet and there you will find a long Horizontal chip called "Ram" just take it out and clean it with clean cloth and press it again firmly in the slot ,
  • Now check that display is there or not,if not then just put the Ram in other two slots and check.
If you are not successful then you have to change the video card or Ram

Please rate me if this solution works for you

Thanks......Have a great time.

The CPU is running and all devices working too but cannot display to monitor. I also change monitor for testing, but still cannot.

What's the CPU running?  Did nothing ever display on the monitor since you powered up?  In that case, your display adapter (a.k.a. videocard) is looking suspect; maybe its output transistors got blown.  Find a slot for video and put a card in there and try again....

L1932TQ Fails on Desktop, works on Notebook

it simply means that your cpu is not giving back signal to your monitor to process, in fact, it is a cpu problem that is why there is nothing to display in your monitor.

Your cpu froze because of that usb thing. the only way to unfreeze it is to manually reset your hardware in this order.

1. RAM modules. If you can unplug your RAM (memory modules) connected in your motherboard, please do it. Just unplug the modules and then plug it back in. if you have 2 rams, then interchange them when plugging it back. this will force your mobo to refresh its resources.

2. CPU. if you can pull out your cpu chip, then do it. this will refresh your cpu setting in your mobo. (mobo = motherboard)

Regards!

Upgrade cpu on pavilion 6630

i am suggesting you the solution keeping in mind that there is no display is on the monitor.
The max ram that HP Pavilion 6630 PC Desktop can support is 256 mb pc 100 or pc 133mhz.
check if you have installed that amount of ram, if thats correct then check if any continues beep sound is coming out of CPU.

if there is beep try to change the ram slot.the more possibilty i either the new ram is faulty or incompatibel.

try to install the old ram see if it works. if still no display.

install old cpu and heat sink.see what happen ..

then let me know the result.

bye & take care..
