Question about Dell Inspiron 1525 Laptop
It could be as simple as a bad on or off switch to turn it on or off. If the Dell is still under warranty, contact Dell for their warranty service.
If it is out of warranty, contact a local PC repair shop to have them diagnose this problem. It is not an expensive part, so it should not cost too much getting it repaired either way.
