The things about streaming video from ipod to mac

Stream to Me is currently available in the App Store forthe great price of $2.99. If you have a Mac desktop machine and a lot of videosyou'd like to be able to watch anywhere in your house, I strongly recommendthis app! While there are a few things we'd love to see enhanced in the app, asit stands now it's very functional and very fast. WhileAirPlay is intended to allow iOS devices or iTunes to stream media to thecurrent-gen Apple TV or third-party receivers, AirPDF and Bruce utilitiesextend the AirPlay universe to allow you to show content, weather/RSS orarbitrary video files and images from your Mac to your Apple TV, all withoutdiving into iTunes. AirFlick even cooperates with Air Video Server to transcodefiles and streams on the fly, meaning that otherwise-incompatible video formatslike AVI or MKV play just fine. Coupled with their iPhone app, Air Videois a Mac/Windows desktop application that is designed to act as a server andstream videos to the iPhone (or iPod Touch) in almost any format, even ifthey're not encoded in h.264! It has a built-in converter which does all theencoding on-demand! As I've previously said, Air Video will work on both Macand Windows. Way back in February, I posted a reallycool tip which allowed Mac users to<a href="http://www.ipod-computer.net/guide/stream-video-from-ipod-to-mac.html">stream video from ipod to mac</a> over the network and even through theInternet onto their iPhones by using the professional ipod to mac transfertool. This involved the use of symbolic links, Terminal, converting videos intoh.264 and adding them into iTunes. As cool as the tip was, there were too manyvariables where things could go wrong. And sadly, as Murphy's law woud imply, itdid go wrong for several people - they couldn't get it to work at all. iPod to Mac Transfer is a great optionfor streaming video from your Mac desktop computer to any iPhone, iPad, or iPodTouch in your home. With an easy-to-use interface, this iPod to Mac transfercan transfer files between iPod and Mac at will. You can use it to <b><span>steam videos from iPod toMac</b>, no need to use iTunes. Also, you can sync your iPod filesto Mac and even iTunes with great ease.</span> <b>Step 1: </b>RuniPod to Mac Transfer, link your iPod to your Mac OS, and then the program canrecognize your iPod automatically. <b>Step 2:</b>Select the movies that you want to transfer to Mac and press <b>"Exportchecked files to local"</b> button. <b>Step 3: </b>Selecta local folder and click the <b>"Save"</b> button to exportthe movies from your iPod to local folder. <b>Step 4: </b>Whenfinished, the following dialogbox will be poped-up. It will show how many fileshave been done. Now, you should have a clear mind of howto stream video from iPod to mac. With this useful iPod to Mac software, youwill save you significant time and money to sync all your multimedia files toyour iPod and iPhone with ease! <b>Related Guide:</b> <a href="http://www.ipod-computer.net/guide/how-to-recover-deleted-video-from-ipod.html">howto recover deleted video from ipod</a> <a href="http://www.ipod-computer.net/guide/extract-videos-from-ipod-nano-to-mac.html">extractvideos from ipod nano to mac</a>

When it arrives next year, Mac OS X 10.7 will bring new several staple features of iOS 4 to Apple's Mac computers, specifically Launchpad, an icon-focused interface that arranges all of your available apps, complete with app folders, just as they would appear on your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, on your Mac desktop.</a> Unlike a full iOS interface, however, Mac OS X 10.7 Lion makes the system toggleable, and users will still have access to the dock, desktop, and menus of a full Mac OS. </span><span><br /> <br /> </span></span></span></span><span><span><span><span>Furthermore, apps designed for Mac OS X 10.7 will feature full screen modes that occupy your entire desktop or laptop screen, much like an iPad app, and will support trackpad gesture controls that could easily be applied to a touchscreen interface. <br /> <br /> Primary among those drivers, as Apple chief executive Steve Jobs announced, was bringing to Lion what Apple had learned from its experience with the successful iPad tablet. How to upgrade my macbook pro to Yosemite

Apple has made this feature free, and fairly simple. You should first make sure you have a backup of your hard drive on an external drive (easiest to complete with the TimeMachine feature of your Macbook Pro).

  • Open the App Store app and select the Featured or Top Charts tab. You can search for Yosemite, although Top Charts will usually list it as #1 in the Top Free apps.

  • Click on the Download button for Yosemite wherever it appears (either in the search list, or in Top Charts). Follow the prompts.

  • Depending on your connection speed and the specs of your macbook pro, the installation will take one to four hours.
    • Of course, you will have to have an Apple ID to download anything from the App Store.
    • If you don't have an Apple ID and don't know how to get one, please ask another question on FIXYA.

I want to Mac laptops

If you want to buy a Mac laptop, you need to figure out which one is best for you.
  • MacBook Air: Extremely fast, light and portable. No CD/DVD drive. 11" or 13" screen
  • MacBook: The Cheapest. Made of plastic. Good processor, HD, RAM, etc. 13" screen.
  • MacBook Pro: Very fast, made of a single bit of aluminium. Comes in 13", 15" or 17". Lots of ports, lots of RAM and HD space. The most expensive.
You can buy laptops directly via Apple, or through a retailer, or Amazon. Amazon and eBay are good places to look for secondhand Mac Laptops - eBay is where I got the MacBook I'm writing this on.
Hope that helps!

My printer wont turn on

Dear Sir,

If your computer won't turn on, try each of these steps:
  1. Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a working wall outlet, and that it's properly connected to the power adapter. (To check if the wall socket is working, plug in a lamp or other electrical device.)
  2. Make sure that the power adapter is properly connected to the power port on the back of the computer.
  3. Disconnect all accessories that are plugged into the computer, such as a printer, hub, or iPod.
  4. Reset the computer's PMU, SMC, or PRAM. Refer to the instructions for your model:
  5. Try plugging a different power cord into the computer (if you have a working one available). If the computer starts up, replace the old power cord.
  6. If the computer uses a power adapter, try connecting a different power adapter to the computer (if you have a working one available). If the computer starts up, replace the old power adapter. (Computers that use a power adapter include MacBook, MacBook Pro, iBooks, PowerBooks, Power Mac G4 Cube, and Mac mini.)
  7. If you tried all of the steps above and the computer still won't turn on, contact Apple technical support (1-800-APL-CARE in the U.S.) or take your computer to the nearest Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) for diagnosis. If you plan to visit an Apple Retail store, make a reservation at the Genius Bar using

Download of ipod music to my MacBook library

if you have plugged the Windows formatted ipod into your mac and then formatted it using the mac, there will be no music left on the ipod. if you want to retain the windows format and the music currently on the ipod, you must say "no" to any offer to format the ipod that the mac itunes may prompt you with.
if you haven't formatted it, then you can use third party programs such as yamipod which allows you to copy music from ipod to your desktop which you can then import into itunes. search google for yamipod.
