Question about Samsung HP-R5072 50 in. Plasma HDTV
My Samsung 50'' plasma HDTV (HPR5072X/XAA) now has parallel horizontal lines from the top to the bottom of the screen. They seem to be grouped - some are closer together than others.
Can it be fixed? How much?
Sounds like a sustain board related issue. Some times it can also be the logic control board. Are all the other controls operational? If yes then we can rule out the possibility of logic control board. There are 3 sustain boards on your set and they need to be tested to find out which one of them is faulty. The boards are not very expensive and are gonna cost about 150$+Labor of about 100$.
