Question about SanDisk Sansa c250 (2 GB) MP3 Player (SDMX7-2048)

My Sansa C200 is no longer recognized by my computer.

I've been using my Sansa C200 for 1 yr. Last synced 2 weeks ago. Went to use it last night and it's not recognized by my computer any longer. What gives?

What I would recommend you to do is to make sure that your device is under MTP mode instead of MSC...to do that go under menu,setting, usb and then there should the two mode listed there...then you want to plug your device in the back of your computer..not in the front..tghat is very important....once you do that..open up your windows media player...click on your start thee sync panel..if your device is recognize properly it will be showing there on the right side..and if its not listed properly, it will say connect a device..if thats the case..click on your start menu right click on computer and then click on propetties, click under hardware and then device manager..your device should be showing there...check under disk drives to see if your device is showing there and if it doesnt you want to right click and hit uninstall...we dont want your device to be under disk drive ..we want it to be under windows portable device...once you uninstall it...go to http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/index.asp and find the driver for your device..and then connecct the device on the back of your computer...it should work properly..if you are still having any problems..let me know..i would be more than happy to assist you..

There are 2 ways to try and unlock it if you don't know the passcode.

1) Connect your iPod to the computer set as the primary one in iTunes. Open the iTunes application, then disconnect your iPod from the computer, and it should no longer be locked.

Only use this next option as a last resort because it is a destructive process.

Everything on your iPod will be erased.

My computer runs on winxp and is not recognizing my sandisk sansa 2.0 gb where is the proper software i need in order to view my files on my pc?


Sansa Mp3 player drivers

Sandisk Tech support had me do the following:

- Turn it OFF
- Put it in the HOLD position
- HOLD the center button IN while plugging into USB port, continue to hold for 5 to 7 sec even after plugged in.
At this point MY COMPUTER recognized it. And it worked.

He also had me to:

- go to WWW.MICROSOFT.COM
- In the upper right hand search bar, type in MTP PORTING KIT
I did this and downloaded the first one. Now my Sansa Clip work perfect. I wish I would have talked to him last week before I returned the last one, for the same reasons.

If this does not help call the 1-800 # , opt #4, and ask for GUY (yes that is really his name) out of 5 or so calls to Tech Support he is the only one who knew what he was doing, and how to actually .

Hello,

The Sansa c200 has 2 versions, version 1 and 2.

Check the version of the player:
Go to Settings > System Info.
Information for the firmware version and SD cards support:
For 01.xx.xx firmware (c200 version 1) - up to 2GB microSD cards
For 03.xx.xx firmware (c200 version 2) - up to 4GB microSDHC cards
Note: Firmware is not interchangeable.

For deleting files connect your player with the computer.
When running Windows Media Player 11:

1. Check the automatic SYNC routine for your player.
How to get to the SET UP SYNC
When viewing WMP11 in full mode select SYNC or LIBRARY in the top of WMP11, seeing the Sansa player listed on the left.
Right click on the player and select SET UP SYNC... to go to the SYNC options.

When "Sync this device automatically" is selected, all playlist in the computers' Library will be transferred to the player again, even the previous deleted files. Disable this function to prevent unwanted SYNC.

2. Remove playlists from the library in set up sync, to get the playlists you would like to keep on the player.

have you tried to hold down the power key for 3 seconds/till it turns off. I had one of these before, mine was a 4gb and i hated it. i always had problems

Equipment...........I hsve a Sandisk MP3 player............. 2.0 GB It was working all right the night before,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,then all of a sudden when I shut it off and went to turn it back on would not go...


Make sure the lock switch on the side of the player has not been activated.
If it is unlocked, you can use the following methods - the only revisions I would make for the c200 series is that you may have to use the REC instead of the volume button to get the computer to recognize the device again, and you can format the player directly from the player's settings menu itself (if you find it necessary to format the player in order to save it):

Won't turn on

MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Windows XP SP1
Windows Media Player 10

CONNECTING AND TRANSFERRING
Connect to your Computer
1. Connect the small USB Cable Connector to the USB port on your computer, and then plug the larger
Cable Dock Connector in to your Sansa c200 port.
2. Once connected to computer, it should be detected by the operating system automatically and is
shown as an additional drive called “Sansa c200”.
SANSA MEDIA CONVERTER
You will need to use Sansa Media Converter to transfer photos to your Sansa c200. Insert your SanDisk
CD and select Sansa Media Converter to install it to your PC. Then you can load your personal photos
onto your Sansa c200 by using Sansa Media Converter.

TRANSFER MUSIC
To transfer music to your Sansa c200:
1. Connect Sansa c200 to the computer.
2. Drag and drop files from your computer to Sansa c200 by using a variety of music software
programs to transfer/synchronize your files.
3. In MTP mode as long as the files are WMA or MP3, they can be dragged into the Media folder.
Otherwise, they can be dragged into the Data folder (these files will not appear on the player).
4. In MSC mode, files/folders can be dragged/copied to the device.

Sansa c200 froze.


Pop the back cover off and take the battery out...when you place the battery back in and restart you should be ok.
